Is Pitt a solid safety?

I just want to be confident that I’ll get into Pitt as I take some chances with other colleges. All you opinions are appreciated:) Thank you

Accomplishments:
-State Champion marching band
-Championship winning jazz band
-County champion/2nd in state/national qualifying academic challenge team
-State qualifying econ challenge team, getting fifth in state and receiving a perfect score

In my opinion, you can definitely get in. I had similar stats to yours (less APs and a higher SAT) and I received a full tuition scholarship. However, I’m a girl majoring in engineering so that may have affected it. But it’s definitely a safety for you for getting in.

Yes, you should get accepted. But as for being able to afford it, maximum Pell and state grant is about $10k so you will need about $20k more.

Definitely apply to some scholarships for lower income students like Jack Kent Cooke and Horatio Alger scholarship for PA, if you have overcome adversity.

No guarantees, but worth a try. Also work as much as you can on weekends and next summer.
