Is PreCalculus necessary for AP Calculus?

My Alg2/Trig teacher said if I do well enough in her class, she will reccommend me to skip pre-calc and regular calc (standard calculus, not AP), and go straight to AP Calc (the best).

<p>My Algebra 2 class did not include trig, but I was epic at Alg. 2. I maintained a high A all year in that class. The teacher was awesome at teaching though.</p>

<p>I should definitely talk to the Calculus teacher. I talked to him last year and he said that I could learn Calculus when I was in Algebra 2 last year 0.o</p>
