I’m an International Student and never attended high School in Canada/US.
In Europe at my high school we just called it “Math” and you couldn’t choose any math subjects.
I study in Canada BC soon and according to the University, I did pre- calculus 12 in high school (no ideas what that is)…
I read “Principles of Math 12” is what BC high school student have to do. Is its the same as pre-calculus 12?
I’m confused
‘Principles of Math’ is a title used for a lot of different types of math classes. In some cases it can be a math course that’s focused toward humanities majors that don’t have to take calculus or anything like that. Such a course would consist of various logic types of math such as logic charts, non-base 10 number systems, some basic probability, and various other topics typically at the discretion of the instructor. I’ve also seen upper level introduction to proof writing courses called principles of math or something similar.
