As a freshman I didn’t do too well and I ended the year with a 2.7 gpa. Sophomore year however I was able to maintain a 3.1 gpa. My junior year I finished it with a 3.5. Do colleges care about just the accumulative gpa or would they be impressed by good progress. Also, I took the ACT and received a 31 on it. What are some exceptional reach schools that I can attend with this type of academic performance. Is it possible to get into any of the following:
Penn State
UVA
Villanova
Any of these questions answered would be very helpful
A steady rise in grades is always good, and colleges will certainly be impressed by it! I can’t predict any of your chances accurately, but if you write good essays, send in good letters of recommendation, and take your time with your applications, I’m sure that you’ll get in somewhere exceptional.
GPA is 2/3 of the decision at Penn State. Do you have about a 3.1 overall? That wouldn’t cut it for main, but you could 2+2 from a branch.
Thank you for the feedback
I’m not totally sure what my accumulative gpa would be but if I had a 3.2 overall would that give me a greater chance?

A 3.2 would still put you in the bottom 13%.
