basically my guidance counselor is a complete idiot and didnt send in my transcript and stuff until january and i just called up maryland wondering why my decision wasnt there and they said you got pushed into the regular pool. I am so ****ed off but there is nothing i can do as of now. I wanted to know however how much harder is it to get in rd than ea… I have a 2100 on my sat and 3.8 gpa with good ecs… will it still be tough to get in rd?

Your SAT scores and GPA should get you noticed and I think you’ll have a good chance. RD IS that much harder than ea, but I think you will be OK. I don’t want to be all lecture-y and mother-sounding (but I’m really good at it!)…especially going from here, you will really need to follow up with people in college when you need them to do something. Especially in a place the size of UMD, you will never be able to assume that something is being handled…followup is always the key. Note to any h.s. jrs reading this…make sure you keep checking the checklist on the application site and make sure they’ve received all your stuff. There have been many times when the issue is on UMD’s end because of the sheer volume.

Anyway ntrading, I think you’ll be “in”.
