Is retaking a course possible?

Does NYU Stern permit the retaking of courses that you passed, albeit barely (C+) ? How bad does a C+ look on a transcript to prospective employers as long as your overall GPA is still good? Also, has anybody here successfully appealed a grade before ?

Just move on. If you retake the course they will see that on the transcript as well. You certainly won’t get credit for retaking a course. You should talk to an advisor before retaking a course, it might not do anything for you.

I agree with hsseniorlooking, D got a C+ Chemistry this past semester at NYU and was thinking of retake to up her GPA, but she decided to move on. You have many miles to go before all is said and done.
As far as appealing a grade, I have no personal experience, but my colleague at work D just graduated from NYU and she always got her grades improved, by constantly emailing and talking to her professors why she felt she should get a better grade on a particular assignment or test. It worked for her. BUT their is always risk, if you ask for a better grade, they may scrutinize your work more closely and take away points. Some things are better left alone.
