How is their job placement? Also could you suggest more art schools on the west coast?

San Francisco Art Institute, Calarts, Art Center, California College of Art, Otis are all pretty esteemed but for different things.

Are you asking about Academy of Art University (AAU) or San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI)? They are very different schools with different reputations.

AAU doesn’t require a portfolio, admits all applicants, and in the bay area, is considered a real estate scam. SFAI is a school commensurate with CCA in the city.

This is probrably a little late to sway you, but it is a good school. Any school is good depending on how you deal with it and how you use the opportunities given to you. I took college level classes for 6 weeks over the summer and they were excellent. I’m a really good artist, but after that 6 weeks, I improved so much. The teachers were wonderful and passionate, taught me a lot, and really helped me expand (I am more of a fine arts person, but took all fashion classes there and LOVED them).
If you connect with the teachers and use their resources and opportunities , the school is a benefit.
