Is Secondary Record(s) important?

<p>Say there are 2 students from different schools, who both have an UW 3.75 GPA.</p>

<p>Do all the colleges highly value secondary records, which provide the quality of their gpa (ex: 1 student may have 3.75 because he took 7 aps but the 2nd student w/ the 3.75 only took regulars and honors)?</p>

<p>Absolutely - selective colleges expect students to have taken the most rigorous coursework possible, and will think less of the applicant who had the opportunity to challenge themselves but did not.</p>
