Is signing up for Co-corricular activities worth it?

Hello, I still have yet to sign up for the CI because I can’t decide whether the co-corricular

activites are worth spending my money. I’m not sure if I’ll get something good out of it or

it’ll be just a waste of money. I’m asking you because I couldn’t find any information on the

web.

I just wanted to know your opinions, so please, help me out. Thanks!

hjungj210o: They just sound like 2.5 day long team building/socializing programs meant to introduce you to the city and some of your fellow students. I have no idea how much the programs cost so that is really up to you. It might be worth more to someone who has never toured DC before and who would like to tour around the city with some peer freshman students.

I originally thought the co-curricular programs looked kind of lame and were just a waste of money, but I’ve read elsewhere on the boards here that they really are a worthwhile experience, so I signed up for the ELP. From what I’ve read, the programs introduce you to a bunch of people who you might not meet otherwise, and they lets you start the year knowing at least a few people, so you don’t feel as though you have nobody to hang out with. Also, you get move in early, which I’ve heard is a really nice perk.

My D did it and had a great time
