I find smoking attractive
well, maybe not hardcore chain smoking

edit: I love the smell a lot

I don’t care if the guy smokes or not

Smoking = sucks. Why do people do it? I never understood that. Almost everyone at my school smokes, I’m such a minority. And yeah, it makes you age faster, yellows your teeth, horrible side effects long term, etc. People say other things are just as bad for your health; e.g. eating too much meat or hamburgers every day is just like smoking. Possibly. But what people need to understand is that smoking was specifically designed to be a detriment to your body.

eh. I still think it’s hot.
oh well.

and so to answer your question,
yes
and you can remove the “even” bit too

“But what people need to understand is that smoking was specifically designed to be a detriment to your body.”

LOL. Shows how naive you are. You think the CEO of Yum Foods has the customer’s health in mind? Or McDonalds? Or Wendy’s? Rotf. No fast food chain has the customer’s health in mind, it’s all about the almighty dollar, regardless of the industry.

Personally, it’s a good thing that you non-smokers dislike smokers. Galvanizes the female smokers to date fellow guy smokers. ;)

well it’s sort of designed to be a detriment in that it gets you hooked

So, the millions of obese Americans who consume fast food on a regular basis do it out of necessity?

obesity affects only one person…smoking affects everyone around the person who’s smoking

i dont care if a guy smokes because i like the smell of cigarettes
but i dont like when these scrawny little boys try to act all tough with their big brothers cigarettes thats pretty gross

^ haha that’s a first. i don’t think i’ve ever met anyone who LIKED the smell of cigarettes.

“obesity affects only one person…smoking affects everyone around the person who’s smoking”

Again, I don’t object to banning smoking in public places, but banning it outright/levying sin taxes = laughable. And obesity doesn’t stress the health care system?

haha levying sin taxes…you’re right that is laughable

Only if you aren’t a fan of paternalistic government.

i smoke filtered and lights. i dont like marlboro reds. nasty. marlboro lights 100 :D

filters and lights are lame. if ur gonna do lung cancer, do it big

LOL! This shows how low-minded you are, my friend. Did you think I said that McDonald’s and what not care for your health when eating their food? I know there are unneeded ingredients that could otherwise compromise your body system (BY HOW MUCH?), but what I said was that food isn’t TAILORED as a sole detriment like cigarettes are. Tell me, BUDDY, if you had the chance to wipe out all McDonald’s food courts on earth, or all cigarettes instead, which would it be? Don’t deviate from this question and answer it. What is causing the deaths of millions of people annually due to lung cancer and brain decline? If you think McDonald’s is more of a detriment to your health than cigarettes, you need to get your head checked!

hey I love the smell of cigs too

“…food isn’t TAILORED as a sole detriment like cigarettes are.”

Arguable. What do you mean by “sole detriment”? One could argue the fast food industry is in fact, using “food” as a pretense for maximizing corporate profit. Is it that hard to believe that McDonalds GASP is, in fact, marketing their products in a similar manner to that of RJ Reynolds? Not to mention how highly the tobacco marketing is regulated compared to that of the food industry.

“Tell me, BUDDY, if you had the chance to wipe out all McDonald’s food courts on earth, or all cigarettes instead, which would it be?”

I wouldn’t wipe out either.

“Don’t deviate from this question and answer it. What is causing the deaths of millions of people annually due to lung cancer and brain decline?”

Lung cancer? And the figures are not in the millions, buddy.

<a href=“NCHS - 404 Error - Resource Not Available”>NCHS - 404 Error - Resource Not Available;

Cancer: 550,270

And that’s assuming every person who dies of cancer dies from lung cancer, caused by smoking cigarettes. But let’s assume that’s the case, for argument’s sake, and let’s assume everyone who dies of heart disease died of obesity related issues.

But wait, what’s this?

Heart disease: 654,092

So, I’d venture to guess your priorities aren’t straight.

“If you think McDonald’s is more of a detriment to your health than cigarettes, you need to get your head checked!”

I never said it was a greater detriment. What I’m arguing is that one, government need not interfere in this area, and two, other things are equally as bad to your health as cigarette smoking, yet are tolerated by individuals like you, for some strange reason.

i dont think id smoke cigarettes though, because
i tried cigars a couple times, the smaller more mild ones, but they left a bad aftertaste
i havent tried cigarettes though, maybe they’re more mild? but don’t you inhale the cigarettes, so then it’d be more powerful? with cigars you more like just leave the smoke in your mouth

Don’t smoke cheap cigars. And pretty much all cigars leave a bad aftertaste in your mouth, you’re absorbing SMOKE directly through your tongue and mouth, for Christ’s sake. And yes, you inhale cigarette smoke. If you want to know which is more powerful, give it a try and report back. At any rate, while you wont be forced to spit after every puff because you inhale (like with a cigar), it still tastes unpleasant.
