I noticed that sometimes the Bachelor’s of Social Work degree is listed under liberal arts for some colleges and for others , it’s just it’s own thing the school of Social work or applied science. Does it varies?

Which college a social work major is in is usually just an administrative structure thing, so yes, it varies from college to college. Some universities have a college of social work; some put it in a college of health and/or human development, some in the college of liberal arts…etc.
It may be housed in a “liberal arts” school for administrative reasons, but social work is not a liberal art. It is a preprofessional program, not an academic discipline. A major in a liberal art results in a BA degree.
^Well, some liberal arts majors sometimes result in BS degrees - like computer science, physics, biology, chemistry, psychology, etc. depending on the college. But agreed, social work is not a liberal arts & sciences major - it’s a pre-professional major.
