<p>Is stanislaus state or uc merced better for sciences? I want to major in chemistry or biochemistry.</p>

<p>I’d say it depends on what your end goal is.</p>

<p>If you’re looking for a career as an engineer or as a lab tech, or a position outside of research, Stanislaus would be better.</p>

<p>If you’re looking to go into research (i.e. PhD), UCM would be better.</p>
