Is studying for Engineer at a community college for an Associates good?

Is it well paying? There is possibility that someone (maybe even me) may not handle a 4-year institution and take all of that extra advance classes. I heard engineers with an associates have a good starting salary. Also, does this generalization apply to any engineer sub category ?

If you just have an Associates degree you do NOT have an Engineering degree, you have an Associates degree with a technical focus. There may be decent jobs for you with that degree but not an Engineering position. That requires a B.S.

If you are talking about completing a 4 year Engineering degree, then it doesn’t much matter if you started at a Community College or a 4 year.
