Is surface pro4 enough for chemical engineering major?

Hello

I am planning to buy a surface pro4 which is expected to have Intel Core M, an ultra low power CPU for tablets and fanless laptops.

My concern is whether low power laptop like this can handle engineering software.

Also, do I need lots of USB ports? I do not think Surface Pro4 will have more than 2 ports.

you do not want Intel core M in surface pro or new macbook12.

it’s low power CPU, if you run photoshop, CAD, Rendering software… you will be lagging.

also, don’t you want a real keyboard ???
