Is the midyear report required for ED II?

The decisions for ED II are coming out next Monday and my school won’t have my 2nd qtr grades until this Friday. If I’m applying ED II, do I even need to send the midyear report? I looked on the website for the requirements and it does say midyear grades are wanted but by the time I send them, the decisions would’ve already been made. Plus I have friends doing ED II too (Skidmore, Conn Coll etc.) and they don’t need to send their 2nd qtr grades…

Thanks for any input!

For EDI it was even earlier than the mid-year reports were released, but they still wanted us to send them when we got them so they can make sure the grades don’t drop. So it’s not required for admission, but it’s required for keeping your admission.

that makes sense, thanks!

It doesn’t matter I guess. I am an ED2 applicant as well. :>

By the way, I guess decisions have already been made. There are around 350 ED2 applications.

Where’d you find that, Clifford? Any idea about how many they’re planning to take ed II?

… 5 days

where did you find that out? any other info you know about ED2 decisions?

Actually, if you look at issues of the Wesleyan Argus in mid-December 2010 and late January 2011, you will find two stories about Early Decision. There were a total of 523 applications for ED1 (reported in December) and a total of 897 applications for Early Decision from ED1 and ED2 combined, so there were therefore 374 ED2 applicants. Good luck to all!

@ morganhil You are right. I get the result in the same way.
