Hello,

Hello,

Does anyone know if canadian applicants are in the same pool as US applicants? In another words, the international (Canadian) will have separate pool during the application process?

Thanks,
Sunny

1) no, canadian students are not in the same pool with the US applicants
2) yes, the canadian students are in a separated pool in the application process, but they are on their own

Thank you,

Do you know what is the acceptance rate for Canadian ED applicants? Or how may Canadians were accepted by Penn or Wharton from previous years?

Sunny

I don’t know about ED, but roughly 10% of applicants were accepted.

Thanks, but, I thought it was much lower for international/Canadian students.

Do you guys know if I go to school in the US but I don’t have a green card, however I am a Canadian citizen, what would they consider me as?

Okay, seriously. People need to fact-check.

[Penn Admissions: F.A.Q. for International Applicants](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/applying/intl-faq.php)

Thank you for the link.

It is great news though it is hard to believe.

^ That is definitely true. I asked the admission officer in charge of Canadian applicants in person and received the exact same answer.

canadians do actually compete within themselves, but the acceptance rate is higher than other countries’

It probably isn’t quite as high as the US ED rate, since many applicants from the US apply ED because of the legacy acceptance rate, which is around 40%.

I heard that Wharton or Penn is general will only accept a few Canadians students a year. This seems odd if the chances for ED in Canada are similar to the US ED rate.

^
by a few, u meant how many? penn is very generous to canadians (lucky us :))

Obviously less Canadians are admitted because less apply. I don’t think Penn would post blatant lies on their website; if they say everyone is considered in the same pool, everyone is considered in the same pool.

46 Canadians entered Upenn in the Class of 2015.
