Is the UT CAP Program worth it?

I’m a junior in High School, with good grades/ decent SAT/ great essay/ lots of volunteering/ sports… etc… However my rank is low, top 22, even though my unweighted GPA is about a 3.86…

I’m applying to Cornell, UT Austin and A&M. I’m pretty sure I’m getting into A&M, but I really don’t want to go to that school. So if I don’t have the enormous luck I’ll need to get into UT and Cornell, is the CAP program worth it over A&M? It just sounds a bit sketchy. I want to go to Med-school, so would it sound a bit weird that I did the CAP? I don’t want to put in my Med resume that I attended a low-ranked University for one year.

What do you think?

anyone …?

I would do CAP. It shouldn’t matter that you attended a low-ranked university for a year since med schools primarily look at GPA and MCAT scores.
