I actually liked Matt’s Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Tough call for winner.

As I’ve only been watching for a month, I don’t have a lot of history with these guys. I have really liked performances from each of the finalists. Craig started out the strongest for me, but Matt came on fast. However, Chris seemed to have peaked at the right time. This will be tough.

Ugh. - can’t stand Over The Rainbow. It was sort of a fail for me. He really lost it at the end. I like Matt a lot but if you were not sure if you should vote for Matt or Chris , you might have Just switched over to Chris.

^^^My thoughts exactly! Wrong song at such a key time.

Count me among those who found Matt’s Over the Rainbow disappointing. The last few big notes were particularly bad.

I think I might just wait to watch. Can’t stand the stress, just reading this. The Donny Hathaway song that you guys said Damien sung, was absolutely killed by Elliott on American Idol. It would be hard to match that.

Is this competition for the win, or just to eliminate one?

For the win. Tomorrow is the finale. But then AI starts January 7.

Matt’s song is already number 1 on itunes.

If a duet hits the top 10 does that count?

The Adam/Chris duet was fantastic.

Shows how opinions vary. I thought Adam’s duos were average at best. All in all, the best over the season had an uneven night and perhaps the worst of all four with one great songs and two eggs. The weakest all season had the best night. The widest range and best entertainment was again the cowboy’s. Damien was ok but nothing to emerge above the fourth place.

The first three are a toss up because Matt blew it with the duet and that awful last song. Terry Fator would have done better with that song. This said, Matt will probably win with the voters of the last three years. The CW voters have moved on!

I love Somewhere Over The Rainbow. My daughter used to sing that song around our house. I don’t think Matt’s version was that good.

I don’t know who is going to win.

Craig is at number two now. There are so many songs in and around the top ten…

Pharrell didn’t get the memo that tonight’s finals was formal.

Hope Danielle Bradbery doesn’t someday regret that tattoo on her forearm.

Loved Matt’s original single Wasted Love. Hated the set. Thought I was watching an X-Factor rerun.

Most enjoyable duet for me was Craig and Blake, but I thought they were all good.

Who I think will win: Matt (but I also agree with those that didn’t like his Somewhere Over The Rainbow).

Runner up: Craig (but I would be happy to see him win)

3rd: Chris (He’s the “comeback kid” no matter what and he WAS solid tonight)

(4th: Damien)

Most likely to move on to bigger and better things: Craig

Best coaching job of any season: Adam

Yep…Adam got three guys in the finals and they were all good.

Adam is going to do well next year when the coaches have to beg.

How can Danielle do that? A tattoo? She is beautiful. That is too bad. Hopefully no more tattoos.

I agree with Jshain on every point, safe and except in the duets, but that might stem from my poor opinion of Adam as a singer and my dislike of the falsetto slugfest he cherishes so deeply for obvious reasons.

Xiggi, wow… we are (mostly) in agreement. That (truly) gives me great pleasure since, a few seasons back, I picked Cassadee Pope for the win and you are (still) calling her a cruise ship singer. The only other season I picked the winner was when Danielle Bradbery won. All the others… goose eggs.

My picking record must be quite poor. I think I did not like Pope that much was because I preferred the eclectic Nicholas. I liked Danielle because she was fresh and entertaining. I thought the season with Tessanne was horrendous. I would not have picked her but others enjoyed her.

This year has been interesting because the frontrunner has changed about every week, unless one thinks Matt was leading all along. There wasn’t anybody special to dislike who had a chance to win, although the producers tried with Anita. Did not work because she could not sing nor pronounce well.

I think your calls have been more objective than mine. :)

I’m cracking up at the tattoo comments on the last couple of pages of this thread after just coming off the ongoing tattoo thread elsewhere on CC…!!!

Tough picks. I’d definitely have Damien last. I think Matt’s single makes him #1. I’d put Craig #2 and Chris #3. However, Chris is my favorite of the final 4 and the one who I most prefer to hear (and see)

Well… On itunes… Matt has the number 1 single, Craig’s is number 2 and Chris has the number 3 single.

Chris is also at 11. It may help him if that single hit number 10.

I have a feeling the results are close.

Chiris is such a wholesome-looking kid. He looks like my two sons. Are buzz cuts popular with young guys in any other areas, or only in OH/PA?

Since this is CC, thought I’d share this - Chris is a student at Capital University in Columbus - the U has been super supporting of him and his journey on social media - as well as the entire Columbus area!!
