I finally watched Kimberley’s GREAT performance. She really knows how to put on a show. People would pay to go to her shows. I don’t think one can say that about many others on The Voice, now or earlier.
I also rewatched Meghan doing Girl Crush, and Little Big Town for contrast. I still dislike Meghan’s performance. Too much braying at the big points. Extremely unpleasant sound. During the rest of it, she was okay. I prefer the original version.
I also rewatched India doing Take Me to Church, and was disappointed again by how she failed to take advantage of the song. I think she was scared to go with it and be a little raw at times. A perfectly polished tone is not always the best choice in popular music.
I think the difference is that Keith is a grown up talent who knows how to sing a country music song and Corey just isn't there yet. Or he doesn't really have to vocal chops and is getting by on what someone earlier described as "Tiger Beat" appeal.
I do not think that rigging the results is beyond this show’s producers, but it would take a Herculean effort in deceit via the regular votes to get there. It does look like the best option for Joshua is to prey for many instant savers on the East Coast who vote on the overall performance or the good looks of an older contestant.
Unless I misread the charts, Meghan was the candidate just outside this week multiplier. You might have seen an older chart or looked at prior weeks songs still charting.
Looks like Deanna, Rob and either Joshua or Corey are in the bottom three.
I hope Joshua does not go home.
Is Hannah better than my ears hear?
I am starting to think Adam is a very bad coach. I am sick of Adam trying to push his singers out of their comfort level. Out of their comfort level and into awfulness.
Let the singers sing what they sing best as long as the song can be popular on itunes.
Blake and Pharrell are the best coaches imo because their singers are not expected to sing what that don’t sing well.
If this show is going to go down to who is most popular…Sawyer wins… Hands down.
Hannah’s last couple of performances haven’t been as good. One thing I like about her is her animation. I am certain that she’s done a lot of theater. She might have been a little too dramatic last night.
Now why don’t I like Kimberly? She can sing. And what seems strange about Meghan?
I think we’re all thinking Adam is a bad coach. Is it because he doesn’t really care or does he really think these songs are helping his contestants?
^^ Haha, Dadx, I came here before starting to check my feeds and share that I did not think Corey was in real danger. I guess that such a prediction is now moot. Anyhow, I still think Adam will have a sweaty night.
A far as Blake being a better coach, I think he deserves credit for have a good ear when it came to Joshua limitations in terms of being a The Voice contestant. He thought that the bigger dude (who is now history) had a better chance but he never improved for him or for Adam who stole him along Joshua.
^
Perhaps in certain timezones. I am getting a later feed this week and so far I think they have announced 1,7,2,6 with the obvious 3, 4, 5 left in the tank. 1-2 being Koryn and Sawyer and 6-7 India and Corey. Consider 3-5 for Meghan and Kimberly. Only question is if Hannah is 4 or 8.
Seems like the right bottom 3 but I hope Joshua is saved, I love his sparkly blue eyes and I think he was victim of Adam’s poor coaching. Is he just phoning it in?
I think they followed the iTunes voting to a tee – this week. The order I described was pretty clear, if some could not believe that Hannah had the fourth highest score. That would not be my ranking but the rest of the placements are as I thought they would be, and that includes having Kimberly just inching above Corey.
Again, no real surprise, only around here did people think much of that Etta James’ song. I did not work and was a middling performance.
Anyhow, the ranking of the performance is meaningless. As Mia and Joshua find out, all it takes is one bad showing and you’re toast. I think Joshua will be luckier than Mia. It will be enjoyable to see Adam squirm again! Changed my mind and now hope for Space Cowboy to be a farewell song!
