@dstark - You got your wish!
Yeah!
Perfect conclusion!
No, but you were @dstark. Good call.
I thought India was by far the best of the three.
Did anyone else think Corey Kent was off pitch when singing with that country dude?
Toledo, your post brought a smile to my face.
That safe is a ripoff of epic proportions:
Will have to sit down and listen to more OTR type of songs. That or simply stop watching this show. While I do not think that Corey would have stayed much longer, that safe gimmick is a pure joke.
Joshua Davis should win.
Nothing else matters.
I wonder if Corey was having problems hearing. He kept messing with his earpiece both during his performance with the country guy and his save performance.
I thought all three were terrible tonight and didn’t care who went home.
I meant to post this thought last night: Has anyone noticed that Christina always has to sing during her mentoring sessions? Show off. And tonight she let it slip that they only see the contestants once a week. I doubted that the coaches spent much time with them, but she confirmed that for me. Maybe eyemamom can ask her friend about it.
Once a week? That’s ridiculous, obviously they aren’t doing much coaching at all. I guess they just have to show up for the photo op, and pretend like they really have a hand in the performance.
Just watched it. Glad that India got saved, her singing was in an entirely different class than Hannah’s and Corey’s was. Corey sounded so weak, and Hannah, just terrible. I used to like that song, and now I’ll never be able to enjoy it again.
I agree that the bottom 3 were all terrible tonight but I thought Corey was by far the worst. He probably had his worst night of the season for whatever reason, most likely because of his vocal shortcomings. The difference between last night and tonight was huge. If he had had even a mediocre night, he would have gotten the save.
I think India uses her low register too much. I’m not sure why she thinks she needs to spend so much time down there. She has a great mid and upper range. Her tone “disappears” when she is at the bottom of her range, imo.
I don’t care who goes home next between India and Koryn.
Meghan looked absolutely amazing tonight. Hoping she keeps that look and only chooses songs that are “countrified” from here on out.
Hoping Joshua doesn’t leave his guitar in his dressing room. He is at his best when he performs with it.
Hoping Kimberly never is seen ever again in her tutu, she doesn’t try to do too much with her stage movement, and she keeps the theatrics and vocal acrobatics to a minimum. Everyone knows she has crazy vocal ability and that she doesn’t have to do too much with her songs.
Not really hoping anything for Sawyer. It aint broke, nothing to fix.
The only drama for me from here on out is who takes 2nd, 3rd, and 4th between (in alphabetical order) Joshua, Kimberly, and Meghan.
I don’t know how I know this but what you see is what the contestants get with coaching. They have a non celebrity voice coach.
And yes…Christina has always made it about her, and always sings as an “example” to the contestants. It’s why I dislike her, she can’t just mentor, she has to show off and get kudos for everything. Is she really that needy?
Didn’t somone tell us who the voice coach really was, earlier in this thread? Was that you, eyemamom? It was a least a year ago. I remember being shocked that the celebrity coaches really weren’t coaching. I was shocked that Christina admitted it last night. She’s probably in trouble for that remark.
Did anyone hear Adam say that Joshua would be choosing his own songs from here on out? That’s the closest we’ll ever get to him admitting he screwed up on that earlier song choice.
They’ve shown the vocal coach in past seasons working with the contestants.
Now I remember. Her name is Trelawny Rose. There is no mention of her on the Voice web site.
Jshain, you are right about India’s lower range. I enjoy her middle to upper range but her low range is too immature to feature for so much of a song.
I would like to see India do a more upbeat and cheerful song. Her energy when not singing is so friendly and upbeat, yet her ballads are so intense and serious.
I would have liked to hear Rob with the falsetto try this. But India could probably give it a shot and take advantage of her training:

Just bumping this up for tonight.
I am counting on the east coasters as always!
They will sing 2 songs tonight, one dedicated to their moms.
India up first tonight. I never heard the song before.
