It’s Glory from the movie Selma. Great song and great rendition by India. Blake said he didn’t know the song either which he has said about other songs this season. I’m always surprised when he says that, being a musician I wold think he’d know more about the music scene.
Does anyone else think Josh looks a little like a young Bruce Springsteen?
Joshua up next. Singing Desire from u2. Im a fan and I sadly say it’s not a good choice for him.
I don’t think Joshua’s voice is big enough to carry the song. He gets lost by the band, although he did improve by the end of the song.
Not too impressed so far. I like Koryn though, and she’s up next.
Koryn is singing everybody hurts by Rem. Okay, as an aside, you know you feel old when a contestants mother looks way younger than you…
I didn’t like Koryn’s version of that song. At all. My ears hurt listening to that. Ugh.
I can’t say I loved Koryn’s performance. I wish she had gone for more nuance and less power.
I liked her performance better than the other two so far.
Missed India. Joshua looked like he was having fun and was more forceful than usual, but to me that isn’t his wheelhouse. I have to say that I like Koryn more and more, she’s an individual. I think Pharrell is right when he says she’s an inspirational singer. Can’t see her winning, can see her having a career in the gospel world or something like that. But who knows what she can do. She’s only a kid.
I wish she didn’t belt through it and was more vulnerable.
I love the song Everybody Hurts. I am sorry to read Koryn did not deliver.

Her first line was a little off key, but I like this performance so far. Less screamy until the end.
