@dstark, do you watch the show after our updates?
Believe it or nor, this is the ONLY show I watch on a regular basis.
@1214mom, I believe it. I watch most of the Monday shows. I might watch part of the Tuesday shows. I may just watch the sawyer-joshua duet on youtube.
I watch very few network shows.
I know a lot of people like Meghan.
I am having trouble watching anybody but Sawyer and occassionally Joshua.
Koryn picked a better song. She showed more of her vocal range. Pharrell is also better at pleading for votes.
When the three “powerhouses” sang together, I thought Koryn stood out.
Koryn had a good night.
Well, that is the end for Broadway India. Took longer than expected but the last 4 are deserving.
Regarding the opening song, it was written by my former roommate. Used his degree in Econ to write songs for the Jonas Bros and this latest hit. Funny how that works.
Xiggi, what else did your roommate write? I want to listen to what your roommate wrote.
That opening song is just fantastic!
DS here it is http://captaincutsmusic.com/discography/
Xiggi, Wow! That roommate is a busy guy!
Thanks!
I just watched the Sawyer-Joshua duet. I thought the duet was fantastic.
I’m confused. Seems like 3 young men. Which one was your roomie?
Joshua sounded great in the duet with Sawyer.
3 words for India’s song choice for the instant save: hor ren dous.
The only drama left for me is to see who takes 2nd and 3rd, Meghan/Josh or Josh/Meghan. I’m hoping the former.
Bookworm, Dstark already knew it was Ryan. Here is the alma mater’s opus

College years can be fun!
@xiggi - Love the fact that he was an econ/accounting major and now a songwriter. Great when people are so mulit-faceted and talented. Kind of flies in the face of so many folks here on CC who are so geared towards hotly pursuing one path.
I agree with the opinions of the duet. I think Joshua showed his experience and presence. I think he sounded better than Sawyer. It’s interesting how both do great in a very narrow range of songs, and not that great in slightly different genres. Definitely for the PBS nostalgia reels or TimeLife compilations … which I happen to like.
India picking that song was as bad a choice as a Whitney one. She was rudderless throughout the competition. I like to criticize Adam, but Christina is not much of a mentor either.
Three of the finalists were stolen. One really has to wonder about the hand of the producers in those judge early choices.
i listened to the duet without watching it. I like josh’s slightly fuller voice.
i do like sawyer - maybe in part because I actually have a kid named sawyer! my kid is sweet, laid back, and still a little boy at heart although he’s 13. I just keep comparing these two, and realize how YOUNG Sawyer on the voice is. oh he’s talented, but so unseasoned. My 9 year old adores him.
meghan; if she didnt scream or growl, i’d like her voice better. she’s talented.
Xiggi, the song your roomie wrote is great. I had never heard of Walk the Moon before last night, and the video shows what autotune can do for singers of limited vocal talent. Terrific video!
That song is going to be a blockbuster party classic for years to come, imo. It’s so irresistible…perfect dance music.
Agree about Christina being a lousy coach…I thought India sounded terrible on that song but I couldn’t pinpoint if it was poor song choice, her voice, or the crummy tv I was watching it on.
Just in case, the video of the song:
Is your roomie in the video?
I was driving with my windows open the other day and a carful of teenage girls pulled up at the light with their car windows open and “Shut Up and Dance” blaring…they were all car-seat dancing like crazy. Me too.
He is not a member of the group and I don’t think he had a cameo appearance. To be clear, we both graduated in 2008 and remained best friends. I do, however, have a different roomie!
nice song!
Was gonna write “former” but figured it was understood…I’m sure new roomie is a peach.
