On a serious note, are ya’ll ready for Sawyer’s victory lap? If there was some suspense last year because of CWB country posse, I really see no such surprise this year. The kid (that is a real kid) should run with it as it has done all season.
Here’s an insight for tonight. I happen to think that the producers helped the mentors and the performers make much better choices than in the past weeks. It will not matter for Sawyer (did he really have an original song?) but Joshua has good choices. Although I expect him to struggle vocally with the Cohen song, I fully expected him to try it. It will be hit or miss!
Koryn might collapse on stage with a It’s Man’s world. I am exhausted to just see her every week twisting like a pretzel to get that last high note.
Meghan’s Percy Sledge … expect some high notes and suffering. Hopefully not for our ears.
The duets? That should be as meh as all the previous ones. Pharrell will be a busy man.

From the song list that xiggi posted, it appears to me that Meghan might be in trouble. Is her “original song” country genre? If not, I’m ready for her to go home. If we take the original songs out of play for the moment, I like Sawyer’s and Joshua’s songs the best. We’ll see when all time zones have had a chance to see tonight’s show.

I think Christina seems pouty tonight. Not willing to give much praise, but rather asking questions like did you enjoy singing that song, etc. I guess she is not happy that she is sitting there without a contender.
Sawyer solid as always. I like the simplicity of the flowers behind him. Sometimes the setting or whatever has been pretty distracting.

Josh’s song was OK, but Ray LaMontagne’s song writing is in a different league. Also a bit nervous about Josh singing Hallelujah, hope he will be more inspired by Leonard Cohen than trying to sing like Jeff Buckley.
Did not like that rendition of the Beatles. Maybe they just shouldn’t mess with the Beatles. Sorry, Koryn, but did not like it.
I think Josh should get some credit for writing his own song. Yeah, the LaMontagne song was better, but Sawyer didn’t write it.
Agree the Pharrell/Koryn song was awful.

I love Leonard Cohen but I can’t believe how many times that song is used in these kinds of competitions. Hope it goes well.
I was not a fan either of the Beatles song. Love the Beatles too! Too many clichés here. We need more original artists and they don’t come along all that often. When they do, you know it. Haven’t seen it here yet. Sawyer is okay to me but so far I’m not getting all the hype. Maybe time will tell.
