Oh no not Christina again! Blech…I seem to prefer the seasons she isn’t on. I never like her contestants either. Ugh…everything always ends up revolving around her and her love of the shrieking trills and runs.
I’ll have to tell S1, a Swat grad, about Amy Vachal. I think he must’ve graduated 2-3 years before her. I doubt he’d watch The Voice though.

^ Consolation, I was able to download it and add my 5 on both my iPhone and my iPad. I actually used my iPad to add my team and not my phone since I hate typing on the smaller screen size.

First up, Jordan and Regina singing a Sam Smith song. They haven’t performed yet but give how much Adam loved Jordan, Regina is the sacrificial lamb.

I was underwhelmed overall with the battles tonight. The final battle of Barrett and Dustin C. was certainly worthy of closing the show but none of the others were all that memorable to me. Now that Adam was able to steal Dustin (who chose Adam over Gwen who also wanted to steal him), Adam now has TWO country artists on his team-- Dustin Christensen and James Dupre. Looks like this will be shaping up to be a showdown between the two of them in the Knockout Round. Whoever Adam doesn’t pick probably gets stolen by Blake. Both Dustin and James will make a nice run and hang around for a long time, imo. I have James Dupre in my top-5. In a way I hope Adam lets him go so he avoids another song choice disaster like the one he handed his lone country guy in his battle round tonight.
I think Tuesday will have the better battles…
None of my top 5 were on last night. Funny I had dustin and ellie at some point on my team but kicked them off.
The app actually keeps me a bit more entertained as I choose who I would keep and steal.
Just watched the Monday night show. I thought all of the battles were good except for Fortunate Son. They were pretty blah. I think Adam made the better pick for the long haul: the rocker should have been able to do better.
I think it’s time to acknowledge that no way is a blast-from-the-past female powerhouse soul shouter going to win, no matter how great they are.

Chris Crump is in my top-5 and I thought he had a good night performing a country song, away from his pop genre.
Sianha Im is intriguing. Only 15, talking voice of an 8-year-old, but a very mature and rich singing voice. Curious to see what her next style of song will be. When I went back to hear her blind audition, I loved it. I have moved her into my 2nd group, joining Jordan Smith and others.
Chris was my top 5 as well so I was glad to see he did well. I thought it was a mistake of Gwen to take a 50 yo. I said it earlier, people over 30 have no chance and I actually think 25 may be the top age. What the judges want is potential. You can fix things with teenagers, someone performing still in mid 30’s are what they are and very little can be done to improve the. That’s why the coaches all get googly eyed at the teens.
I liked Sianha in the blind auditions, but to my ear, both she and Ivonne were badly off in the performance of You Keep Me Hanging On…actually I thought it was awful. I had to fast forward. Don’t get the steal for Ivonne at all, considering they all let passed on Krista, who should have gotten a steal imo.

Jazzy, I don’t get why Blake stole Ivonne either. On the Voice App, 51% thought it was a good steal, which sounds a tad generous. I agree eyemamom about Gwen’s mistake in stealing Regina Love. She should have waited til next week. They seemed to have lumped lots of top-tier talent toward the end of the blinds.
