Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

I have heard that Blake really is funny in real life; it’s not just scripted.

Though I’m not always crazy about Barrett’s singing, he has a personality that won’t stop, and seems like an awesome guy. So I don’t feel so bad, but irritated because of Madi. Didn’t see the show yet.

Yes, this was the first time Madi was really under pressure. She just needs more experience and time but she’ll get there.

Barrett … He annoys me. That false bravado and over-the-top macho act just doesn’t hit my heart. I am also irked he made it to the final.

Glad Jeffrey won the final slot.

I don’t vote because I don’t want my work people to see that I tweeted the Voice. :expressionless:

I’m kind of disappointed in the top 4. I think emily is there because she’s so pretty!

Wow, I guess I’m the only Barrett fan here. I’m surprised he made it through, but pleased. I’m sorry about Amy and Madi, though, since Amy is my favorite.

The problem I have with Jordan is that I can’t see how he can have a career outside of inspirational music, and I don’t like that sort of thing. The other issue I see with him going forward is that I think it is very likely that he is gay, and he doesn’t seem able to cope with that in his particular religious milieu. Jeffrey is also problematic in terms of a career. He’s a fantastic singer, but he doesn’t have the stage presence. He needs a lot of work in that area.

Barrett and Amy are both ready to start real careers right now.

This was definitely the season that will be viewed as the one that Blake completely took over-- Miranda breakup, Gwen hookup, and now his finals dominance. The producers can’t be overly happy and now, more than ever, will be rooting for Jordan. Is it even possible that Jordan WON’T win? Even if you aren’t a Jordan fan, you’re probably not going to want to see Blake wearing the crown again-- especially this season.

I think Jeffrey has been working incredibly hard & has come such a long way during the competition. He was absolutely not on my radar until a few weeks ago, and last night he did a really good job.

Jordan is a great singer. I’ve said it before, though … he is better suited for something like Broadway than radio play. Of course, he could go the Danny Gokey route (remember him from American Idol?) and do Christian music. He’d fit in well in that genre.

I still think Jordan should meet up with Mario Dominic (Jose) and do a show together. Mario was on a couple of Vocal shows and he recently opened for the Pentatonix when they were in Boston. (I may be repeating myself, sorry, old age)

SnowflakeVT, I just saw the Pentatonix documentary On My Way Home, on Hulu, where Mario opened that Boston show. It was really cool to hear it through headphones that plug into the remote control. Mario sounded really good, but I still think Jordan is more talented vocally.

I was on vacation and missed 2 weeks with you all! I’ve known forever that Jordan would win, but like the rest of you I can’t imagine buying his records. Who is voting Barrett through? I’d also never listen to Emily Ann though she is adorable. A shame about the ones who let the nerves get to them. However, what distinguishes someone from the crowd is the ability to perform under pressure and thrive on it.

My new favorite is Jeffery.

@kelsmom, I don’t think there are many roles on Broadway for someone who looks like Jordan. Even opera singers are generally more attractive these days. Great voice, but…

I would listen to Emily Ann if she would pick songs more along the lines of EmmyLou Harris. I like her voice. I don’t like her taste in music, as I said before. She definitely does not deserve to be in the final four.

Vocally, Emily Ann isn’t anything special but overall she has star quality. Yes, she is extremely cute and that took her far. Other than Jordan, she had the a very strong and consistent iTunes download ranking week-to-week. For that reason, I DO think she deserves to be in the top-4. Country performers seem to have the “easiest” path to success. Country fans seem to be far and wide.

I can’t wait to see her @SnowflakeVT ! That is awesome!

Very cool. Give us a clue about who to look for in the chorus.

Very exciting, snowflake! Can your D tell us what they’re singing? Or if it’s a great song choice or a poor song choice? (Maybe they don’t want a predictable finale.)

I had to deleted Snowflake’s posts due to a confidentiality agreement with his D.

Sorry, folks. I shared the news but my D called to ask me to remove as the agreements don’t permit sharing till the show airs. Will share more later when I am allowed. Bad mama!

Thanks Erin’s Dad for removing my post as I requested.

Proud mama!!! Keep us posted…

Snowflake, I did not see your post before it was taken down. You will have to be sure to repeat it as soon as you get the green light!

I didn’t see it either, Snowflake. With your daughter in the chorus, I’m hoping Jordan wins. He may not have the “look”, but he’s got the “voice”. Jeffrey would be my second choice.
