Overall, I’ve been disappointed with this season. I can barely watch an entire episode because so many of the contestants sound pitchy.
Laith is amazing- both his vocals and guitar work. BB is back!
I thought Alisan Porter really delivered. Smart song choice. Love her when she dials it down! One of her best of the season.
Enjoyed Adam on the piano!
Thought Mary Sarah was solid and definitely picked the right song.
I liked Bryan’s song choice, with his bi-lingual performance.
Did not like Shalyah, for the 2nd week in a row. She’s lost her momentum, and I would not be surprised if she’s in trouble this week.
For me, I think I would rather see Daniel or Paxton go home next rather than Nick. I like Nick, the performer.
Hannah is the biggest “mystery”. Questionable song choice and performance, yet she does well on iTunes? She does have an interesting enough voice and she’s very attractive, plus she’s a pre-school teacher!
Speaking of iTunes… at this moment:
Alison, Let Him Fly, #6, (Christina)
Laith, The Thrill Is Gone, #12, ((Adam)
Adam, I Got A Woman, #17, (Blake)
Mary Sarah, Stand By Your Man, #20, (Blake)
Hannah, Rolling in the Deep, #23, (Pharrell)
Bryan, Promise, #35, (Christina)
Paxton, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, #40, (Blake)
Shalyah, My Kind of Love, #94, (Adam)
Nick, I Can’t Help It, #96, (Christina)
Daniel, I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, #199, (Pharrell)
Thanks, jshain, that is about how I would guess based on performances. I would be surprised if Daniel doesn’t go. He is a handsome guy, but the song genres that he has been doing don’t work for him. He is not pop or R&B, but if he was easy listening Christian I might believe him more. (Not that I shop for that type of music myself, but I recall that I loved a few Amy Grant songs back in the day 20 years ago or so when she only sang Christian music.)
@Toledo, I really do love and value musicians and of course song writers. So second chances is fine with me. personally am over the overly produced music of today. But I know The Voice is about a pop star…
I fell asleep before the end, as often happens when I watch it live! have to check out Adam and Allisan.
Just listened to Sawyer. Sounded okay, but was that entire song in about a 3-4 note range?
I think I’m a voice savant. My 4 team members were 1, 2, 3 & 4 and I also predicted the bottom 3. Now if Daniel goes I’m 100%.
Now if only this had real world applications.
You are the queen, eyemamom.
Now what stocks should I buy?
Good job, eyemamom.
I think most of us felt Daniel need to go home after last night. But did everyone feel the same after tonight?
Was I the only one who liked Daniel better than Nick tonight? Pharrell didn’t say much to keep Daniel around. And then Daniel keeps pointing at Nick afterwards?!! I guess he was ready to go home.
Uptown Funk was too tough to cover. The energy of the song wasn’t matched by the performance, and the original is too fresh in people’s minds. He inadvertently set the bar too high for himself. I think a different song that highlighted his strong points better would have been more appropriate.
Paxton could probably have carried that song off, but not Daniel and not, apparently, tonight.
Is this a new format where there is only one artist per week who is eliminated? I’m not sure this is the way to keep your viewers if we have another 6-8 weeks to go. It seems like prior seasons moved faster at this point.
Worst song choice ever. Bruno Mars is so exceptional, the comparison is far too weak. Kind of painful to listen to. He really messed up by choosing that song.
When they announced what song he was singing, I said, “Good-bye, Daniel.” Dumbest song choice ever. But my D who sings (and does not watch this show regularly) thought Nick was terrible. She thought (correctly) that Daniel has a better voice, but bad, bad, bad song choice.
And yes, Sawyer’s song sound pretty one-note to me.
In keeping with the current pattern, I guess that means Nick will go home next.
Anyone else wish they’d eliminate 2 at a time? I didn’t like sawyer while he was competing and tonight didn’t change my mind.
Everyone, but me, must have noticed it because that was the widest margin I’ve ever seen in the voting.
Yes, they should have a wipeout week where they remove two or more! This is dragging out too long.
But who would go?
I think that Nick, Paxton, and Hannah could start. I’d love to see the end of Mary Sarah, but that’s not likely, unfortunately.
I don’t enjoy watching the voice as much, I’d prefer X Factor and American Idol(when Simon was still a judge). 2012 X Factor was great I believe they had some of the most talented singers ever in a singing competition. Fifth harmony, Carly rose sonenclar, Beatrice miller, Emblem 3. You can look each of them up all very talented(Carly’s voice is incredible given her age). Britney was horrible as a judge and didn’t really add anything but overall I would say that was the most entertaining singing competition series I’ve watched.
I missed the beginning of Paxton’s performance, but found it pretty boring. Hannah did well. Mary Sarah is probably safe. I was only listening to Nick and didn’t see him dance. I would like to see him do some ballet leaps. haha
I like this week’s show better than last week’s.
