Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

So I like We’, sun dance, and Ali C . I’m no authority, but I thought Darby was all over the place.

I must be the only person in the country who thinks Dana Harper was Blake’s best artist. Sundance is a close second.

Darby’s song choice did not lend itself to her Indie style. That was the worst performance of the night!

I thought Billy from team Adam was awesome. And he’s kind of cute too.

I can’t believe Miley saved Darby.

@SnLMom, I liked Dana Harper on Team Blake, too. I had liked Josh in the past but he was really bad tonight. I’m surprised that Adam saved Brendan. I like his voice, but I thought Adam would choose Riley. I don’t like Darby at all. This seemed really fast and furious tonight.

I lost Josh H. I agree with musicmom, though. It was his worst performance of the season. Also agree about Brendan. He sounded more like “breathy Brendan” tonight. I personally didn’t love (LA mom) Courtney tonight. Thought she was screaming some of the notes more than necessary. Speaking of dynamic divas, Ali is a remarkable vocalist. Also agree with 1214mom that Billy really shined tonight. Didn’t love We’s song choice but loved the way she looked. Hope they forbid her from wearing pants the remainder of the season. Show still airing on west coast but Sundance is ranked #148 and Christian is ranked #168 on iTunes. Will post updated iTunes rankings in the morning.

I watched half the show, then took a long phone call, and when I checked again, three of my artists were gone. Now I really want Jshain to make the leaderboard!

WE is my artist, but I also didn’t like her song tonight, but her performances are getting better and her look was great.

Josh H didn’t do well, sadly. He was getting a little corny, too, so it took away the authentic indie thing I originally liked.

Billy is my other artist, but I didn’t see him sing yet.

My favorite artists/performances of the night were Billy, Christian and Dana (sadly eliminated). Alisha was the only judge who didn’t surprise me with her save. Obviously Miley saved Darby based on factors other than her performance last night.

I was thinking that the contestants that America saved might have a better chance of winning. Two threw me for a loop. Were Josh Gallagher and Aaron Gibson really that good? I thought Adam had the best team, so watching them being eliminated was painful. I find myself watching We’s lips, as I still can’t believe that sound is coming from her. Miley must have dressed Darby last night.

My team is down to 3 members; Billy (36 days), Christian (15 days), and Austin (8 days).

Long time lurker, first time poster on this thread, I think. I don’t always get to watch consistently or open the app.
I have over 600,000 points. Four left: We - 49 days, Billy - 49 days, Darby - 22 days, and Ali - 15 days. I was sure I was going to lose Darby last night! I was surprised how much they packed in the show. Miley got to talk forever about her team, then Adam only got 30 seconds. They need to work on managing the time on a live show.

Welcome musicmerit! Nice team. I think I liked Darby more than most of you, even though I thought she tried to do way to much with a terrible song choice.

I am disappointed but not shocked that Josh H. didn’t get the save since it was a poor song choice. It looked like he really had worked on keeping his facial contortions in check so that we weren’t distracted from his vocals. Will miss his vocal creatvity. Christian picked the perfect song at the perfect time and once he was in Josh H. was in trouble. His performance of Whiskey and You from last week is the highest ranked of all artists from the Knockouts, ranked at #159. I am surprised Austin and Ali did not do better on iTunes.

Here are the iTunes rankings from Monday night’s Live Round as of about 8 AM Pacific (coach in parenthesis):

Billy Gilman, Crying, #28 (Adam)
Brendan Fletcher, To Love Somebody, #72 (Adam)
Sundance Head, Blue Ain’t Your Color, #103 (Blake)
Christian Cuevas, Yesterday, #119 (Alicia)
Josh Gallagher, Colder Weather, #141 (Adam)

The “guys have it”, 2 weeks in a row…

My team is:

Billy 49 days
We’ 49 days
Brendan 15 days
Sundance 8 days

(678,500 points)

I never understood the appeal of Josh H. He didn’t seem to have a strong voice, or much of a range, in my opinion. He is interesting looking, in that singer songwriter sort of way, but I just never thought he was that good. Can someone explain his appeal to me? Perhaps it just comes down to different tastes.

My top three lately have been Billy, We and Christian. When I heard Christian sing that Karen Carpenter song, I thought, wow, this guy is incredible.

I liked Josh H. I was thinking as they were singing that We has a great voice, blah, blah, blah, but she does not sing music I would listen to. Josh H does. I would much rather listen to him personally, find him much more interesting.

My team is still intact, having had to replace Nolan earlier. 493,500 points

Billy G 49 days
Sundance (had him, dropped him, picked him up again) 15 days
Darby 43 days
Courtney 36 days
Aaron 9 days

I had Josh H at one point, and We and Sa’rayah. I’ve always like Ali a lot, too. I don’t fully understand Adam’s love of Brendan, who has a cool voice but seems pretty limited, but it appears that he’s the one Adam is most dedicated to.

I wonder if they are going to have the feature where they get to bring someone back?

Nice, consolation. My original team, chosen immediately after the Blind Auditions, was:

We
Christian
Sundance
Sa’Rayah
Billy

All still alive. Woulda, shoulda, coulda!

Darby is so painful to listen to.

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday.

This week the lives should be called glossy, over-produced week 2. Just when we thought Darby couldn’t sound any worse than last week, she did! Since I didn’t see the coaching sessions, not sure what feedback she got, but did waaay tooo much with the song. Haven’t liked Christian as well as his blind audition… until tonight. Sa’Rayah had her worst performance, IMO, even though the song is a favorite of mine. Thought Sundance was fantastic!

Those are all the clips I’ve seen so far…

We’ was amazing as usual . Still not a Billy Gilman fan.
