Thanks
Lauren and Chris appear to be a lock on getting into the finals-- currently at nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on iTunes.
Aliyah will likely get in as well-- currently at #7 on iTunes.
That leaves 5 remaining who are not currently ranked in the top-10 on the iTunes downloads this week: Brennley, Hunter, Jesse, TSoul, and Vanessa. Jesse has the best chance of getting the multiplier but he is currently at #14 with only about 5 hours to go before the 9 AM Pacific cutoff. Hunter is at #19, Vanessa at #26, Brennley #43, TSoul #63. Who has the votes, who gets the save? Guess we will all find out tonight.
Will post the full iTunes rankings at or near the 9 AM Pacific cutoff time. You can also see the rankings at:

Big correction! The final 8 in the top-10 rankings on iTunes get a 5x multiplier and not a 10x multiplier as I previously said. Hunter is now currently #10, so add him to the group of likely finalists. This would then leave Brennley, Jesse, TSoul, and Vanessa all battling for the 4th spot in tonight’s elimination.
Here is the link once again to see the current iTunes rankings. Note the “last updated” time stamp in bold, at the bottom of the first section, near the top of the page. It only gets updated about once per hour, so you may need to refresh it for it to be be accurate by the 9 AM cutoff:

I thought that both of Brennley’s performances last night were terrible. She’s gargling all the notes, and her diction has gone down the tubes. I couldn’t make out a lot of the words on her solo song, and that’s a song where the words are important. I also think that Aaliyah has gone as far as she can right now. She’s starting to sound like she’s straining her voice quite a lot of the time. I’m sure that the voters won’t agree with me, though.
Is anyone else sick of this “She’s only 15!” stuff? They just aren’t as good as the grownups. Let them mature.
Oh well.
I voted for Chris, who continues to blow me away, Vanessa, Jesse, and Lauren (Ghost in the House!! Incredible performance), who are the ones I think should be in the top 4. I wouldn’t mind Hunter instead of Vanessa, but I’m praying that we don’t have to see more of the teens. They did a nice job. But enough is enough.
@Consolation I agree with you! I need to find last night’s performances since I missed most of the show. But Lauren’ “Ghost in the House” blew me away!
I thought Lauren was wonderful last night. Just like @Consolation I’m tired of the “she’s just 15” comments. I don’t think the 15 year olds are nearly as good as all the others!
^Agree. Brennley, who seemed so authentic all season, was NOT authentic last night. Blake or Aliyah (?) made a very smart song choice. Did not see the rehearsal so don’t know the specific reason for choosing a Christian/Gospel song. Ditto for Chris Blue. Choosing Christian songs seems to be a recipe for success every season.
Having Aliyah in the finale means someone more deserving goes home.
I wonder how the “sing off” is going to work. If only the top 3 are saved do all the rest sing for the save? Or do we get the top 4 without a sing off? Anyone know?
I agree, and I’m afraid it will be Jesse. Jesse’s performances last night were just great. I love his guitar playing along with his singing.
At this point I’m expecting a Lauren/Chris/Hunter/Aaliyah finale.
jonri, Good question! Since 4 artists Lauren, Chris, Aliyah, and Hunter, earned the multiplier and only 4 artists are chosen will the 4th highest vote-getter be in the sing off for the instant save? I’m guessing they will. I’m also just guessing, but I do not think the sing off will have more than 3 competing for the last spot.
Hunter’s ranking fluctuation is rather odd: In just a couple of hours this morning leading up to the 9 AM Pacific cutoff he went from #19 to #10, conceivably earning the multiplier. Now, in roughly the same 2 hour timeframe, he freefalls from #10 to #18? Very odd…
The only 2 that I’m impressed with are Lauren and Chris. Hunter continues to be way overrated IMO
I thought Brennley was the only one last night that left me marking her down. The rest either stayed even or rose, in my book. Liked Chris Blue, Tsoul, Vanessa, and even Lauren did well, although Brennley helped that by creating a contrast. Jesse was good, and Hunter grew on me too.
Aliyah is my favorite. Head an shoulders above the rest. Talking about her age doesn’t bother me.
Here we go…
Agree with first choice. And the second.
2nd good choice.
3rd choice good too.
Anyone else watching?!!!
I am watching . Not happy with the 3rd choice
Oh, just tell us, please! I’ll still watch it tomorrow!
I am still hanging on with one on my team.
I know some of you love Jesse, but Hunter is still my preference. His voice quality is so good and his temperament relaxes me. I will keep my fingers crossed for him.
I don’t think Aliyah is ready, as talented as she is for her age. (Sorry dadx!)
Brennley is cracking a little and it shows in her voice. She has time to gain confidence and experience.
Glad that Lauren and Chris made it … well deserved.
I am bummed for Vanessa. On this show her fun personality didn’t come through, but she is incredibly talented. Hopefully will see more of her.
Tsoul performed very well this week. I wish him well also,
