musicmerit, I already crowned you points champion but I have 1,495,500. How many do you have at the moment? I had 3 of my 4-person team in the sing off. I assume I have 2 remaining. Won’t be able to watch the elimination until much later tonight.

Wow, I’m pretty happy about the result–except for Aaliyah–but I am genuinely amazed that Hunter didn’t make it. Even with Aaliyah, that’s a LOT better than Brennley!
I think I would have definitely preferred Hunter over Jesse. I always get bored and fast forward through Jesse, though I haven’t seen the last couple of times he sang, so maybe he got easier to listen to.
Thanks for the updates, though. I’m in Omaha and a nasty storm system knocked out the hotel television reception. Who knows when we’ll get it back.

I stayed for business in Omaha years ago, I had to stay for a few days, so I decided to go to a movie. Had go to Council Bluffs to find a movie theater. It seemed like they had torn down all of the old buildings, and they rolled up the sidewalks at night. A place that seemed to have eradicated all character. Very disappointing. Oh, and no one I asked knew how Council Bluffs got its name. (Before google.)

Just to make you two look good … my points are 955,000. My last person, Chris, is my only hope to break through to a million. I don’t tweet about theVoice, and I don’t vote except on the app at the early part of the season, and I opened the app once a week, not always at the same time as the live show. Also, I can no longer see the leaderboard totals, only that I am ranked 999+.
I will be satisfied if Lauren or Chris wins.
Ah, Omaha (especially old town Omaha) is very nice, lots of restaurants and historic looking buildings. Don’t know about Council Bluffs, though.

It was actually Omaha I was talking about. I have the feeling that I was probably there during a period–mid-80s–when they had pretty much deserted the downtown for malls. Either that, or the people I asked were clueless!

Omaha is much better now. I lived there in the mid eighties, pretty dull except for a few good places.
Hope my flight has satellite tv to watch this!
Lauren sounded lovely, not as good as “ghost”, but still really good.
The electricity in my neighborhood went out just before the show started so I missed the first 30-40 minutes. I saw the end of Lauren singing “The Dance.” What did I miss?
