Jesse’s Takin it to the Street was really good, not enough for him to win. But a great song choice for him. Aliyah’s org song is “Never be Lonely” cute and upbeat. . Chris and Alicia do a duet “Diamonds and Pearls”, I thought it was ok but not great, but better than Aliyah’s and Blakes.
Blake was so out of his element in that duet.

Is it my television or is the sound off tonight? Seems like the music is way louder than the voices. In Blake and Aliya’s duet earlier, it sounded like Blake’s mic wasn’t even on. I would think it is my ears, but I hear the accompaniment loud and clear.

Let’s give Chris Blue a great song, great choreography, and a ton of back-up dancers and see if he can win.
Lauren lapped the field. That voice, her songwriting ability, her poise, such poise. She sure knows how to sink her “teeth” into her work, according to mom and dad! For a second week in a row she will be #1 on iTunes…
Both Lauren’s solos are currently #1 and #2 on iTunes. Chris is currently at #3 and #20. Will post results in the morning.
I continue to be frustrated with some of Jesse’s song choices, in particular: Takin It To The Streets. I wish Blake had turned his chair and been Jesse’s coach. Would have much preferred him singing more hardcore Blues and Soul.

I would like to see Lauren win, even though I don’t have her on my team, and I think (as do most of you) think she WILL win. Edit: After Lauren, then Chris, Jesse ( by a “hair”), and Aliyah.
Just finished watching last night’s episode. I LOVED everything Jesse (and Adam) did. Chris remains incredible. I love Lauren, but I was a bit disappointed with her. Her original song was the highlight of her night. I really do not think she “lapped the field” last night. I think there was a three-way dead heat. I really do think that all 3 of them will have careers.
Aaliyah is just out of her league.
As much as I dislike country music, I think Lauren really has the best voice and will win.
I have both Lauren and Chris on my team. What happens if one of my team members wins? Will I get a billion points? Or will the check be in the mail? LOL
Lauren or Aaliyah is likely to win, I believe. Jesse and Chris have some appeal, but I don’t think either of them is in the same ballpark with the women. The country vote could carry Lauren, although Blake being the coach for Aaliyah might help dilute that a bit.
My prediction would be Aaliyah, Lauren, Chris, Jesse, with a gap between the women and the men.
I have only watched the videos of the performances. Lauren sounded so much like Trisha Yearwood last night, particularly her phrasing. I’m not a country music fan but I like Trisha Yearwood. I liked Chris’ performances the best. I don’t get why Aliyah is in the finals. I was not impressed by her final songs. Her lower and upper ranges sound compromised - maybe damaged already?

Chris moved into the #2 ranking on iTunes so I guess he will add a little drama to Lauren’s coronation tonight. The rankings may have changed slightly from when I posted above.
I’d be happy with any of Jesse, Lauren or Chris winning. Aliyah, as others have said, is way out of her league, and she is clearly on a fast path to vocal nodes.
