Not wowed by anyone yet. The kid who sang the Maroon 5 song wasn’t bad.
Has anyone playing along kept a log of the “percent of America who would hit their red button” for each blind audition? I have, but only for the past 2 weeks. I did not track this for the premier week, blinds no. 1 and 2. I feel that is a really key stat. As such, I think you can ONLY see it “live and only interactively”, at the time each audition takes place. If anyone would like to know a particular percentage by artist, I would be happy to share but, again, my artist list of percentages is missing week 1.
I watched but was not blown away by anybody. I added one to my team because I still had a spot, but I don’t even remember whom I added! The last guy might prove interesting.
Just watched last night’s show. I added and dropped a few. Current lineup: Ilianna, Keisha, Michael, Ignatious, Chris, Adam C., Davon, Addison , Dennis, Jon, Karli, Emily. I found myself dropping and adding a lot the last two days without the certainty I had last year with Chirs Blue, who was just obviously IT from the moment he opened his mouth.
There were several others I really liked, such as Brandon B, Gary, and Meagan.
Several of the artists live near me: Noah Mac, Dublin CA. Iliana V. Brentwood CA. Megan Rose, San Ramon CA. There is one other, but their name isn’t coming to mind.

Based on the Battle Round teaser from Tuesday night, 2 of my teammates go up against each other next Monday-- Keisha v. Noah-- so I either lose 1 or, hopefully, they get stolen. Consolation, half our teams are different. Even the ones you like, not currently on your team, are not ones that I considered. I liked some that are already on your team like Addison, Emily, Iliana, and Ignatious.
If I had to pick the “Chris Blue” of this season, I would go with Davon or Chris.
IF you are playing along, you have to get down to 8 artists by 10/25. Important: when editing your team click on the red edit tab on your team, then move the artist you wish to move into the bottom 4 and out of your top 8. YOU MUST POSITION THE CIRCULAR IMAGE OF THE ARTIST DIRECTLY OVER THE ARTIST YOU WISH TO MOVE OR IT WILL NOT WORK, HOWEVER IF YOU DID NOT EDIT YOUR TEAM BEFORE NOW, YOUR ARTIST WILL SHOW DAY 1 ALL OVER AGAIN! On 10/25, any artist in the lower section on the “your team” page will be eliminated, so make sure you edit your team before then!
Will the battle rounds be over before the elimination?
Musicmom, I am assuming they will be over providing you set your teams immediately following the Tuesday night 10/24 battles. I’m on the West Coast and I believe I was not able to complete my team before the deadline last season, after losing someone in a final night battle. This is assuming you are not out West like me.
I tried unsuccessfully to edit my team before now. THREE of my artists are now showing “Day 1”! I was not holding the image of an artist directly over one I wanted to move. I thought it would work similarly to moving icons on my iPad, but it wasn’t. I don’t think you should be penalized for editing your team, as long as it is before the deadline. After all, those artists are all part of your 12-member team.
Awwww, jshain, that’s too bad! Thanks for warning the rest of us. I’m playing along with the app, but not submitting anything, so I don’t get points. Based on my past experience, I’ll probably lose 4 in the battle rounds.

Agree, Consolation. The montage seems unfair to those artists. Cut down on the fluffy back stories and level the playing field!
I am joining late, but have been watching, and am caught up now. I just picked my team.
P.S. I saw Emily perform with Charlie Puth when they were both at Berklee. She has a great voice but I am not sure she can let her hair down enough to be right for this competition. And, as much as I hate to make it about looks, and she is beautiful, she does need a better haircut if she is going to look closer to 24 then 34; She is a classic, not a pop star, but that hair cut does scream mom or corporate business woman.
I finally put Emily on my team as one of the last ones I added because I love her voice. I had not added her earlier because of her mature look. Someone upthread mentioned that Tessane Chin looked older than she was and she won the whole show, so we shall see what happens in the battle round.
Were there a lot of kids from Berklee on the show this year? Seems like quite a few mentioned it, or maybe I misunderstood. I wonder if the producers “recruit” at certain music schools.

Hi jshain, I’m back, thanks for asking. But I haven’t watched a single episode, though they’re all recorded. We’ve been in France for two weeks, and now I’m at work, so I’ve had no access. Is this season worth watching, so far? Jennifer Hudson sounds kind of obnoxious.
Bus-- compared to 2 weeks in France, the Voice will be a major disappointment however it might beat being back at work.
