Musicmom, I hear you. I am hoping I will get a little more clarity after the final battles on Tuesday night and with the battles tonight, including all the coaching sessions, which I won’t be able to see until Tuesday and Wednesday morning. I am hoping Adam C., for example, is this season’s equivalent of Sundance Head. If not, I replace him with Mitchell. Tomorrow night, I will look at each team and determine who are the top-2 artists in that team. If I only really like a single artist in a particular team, I may keep 3 artists in another team, especially if I think that team with only 1 artist might possibly steal someone from my team with 3-in-my-top-8 team in the Knockouts.

Yesterday I binge watched all the blinds and battles, which I had not seen. Up until then only saw the clips, without back stories, rehearsals, and hype. The hype, aka coach comments overstating an artist’s chances or ability, such as “you can win this thing”, “you have my favorite voice in the entire competition”, etc. etc…

I really feel that the guest coaches this season have been excellent, especially Rascal Flatts, with Kelly Rowland and Joe Jonas close behind. Billy Ray Cyrus, the weakest of this strong group, imo. Daughter Miley, on the other hand, has been the strongest of the regular coaches-- just superb-- imo.

Blake has the only steal left in the Tuesday 10/24 final Battle Round. Anyone have a prediction as to who he steals? I’m thinking it will be the loser between Ashland and Megan Rose on Miley’s team. If logic prevailed that would point to the loser being Megan however, if the show has any possibility of a script determining the outcomes, that might mean Ashland. If Miley chooses Megan over Ashland, I am going to be convinced that this result was manipulated. Miley simply has too many strong artists and the producers wanted to level the playing field, giving their country coach one more “top-tier” female country artist. If Miley keeps Ashland, I could conceivably have 4 of her team members on my 8-person team.

I really like Addison in this duet with Karli however, for me, she has too much of a nasally head voice to go the distance so I was not able to give her a spot on my team moving forward.

I lost Michael last night, which bothers me because I really liked his singing and his groove…and I thought he won the battle, despite Anthony’s pretty voice. I love Red, both his singing and his personality, but I actually thought Ryan won the battle. I was surprised but happy that Red won, although he isn’t on my team. Yet.

Not sure who to replace Michael with, so I moved Karli up to my top 8 to take his place.

I wonder if this “montage thing” is NBC’s way of gaming us viewers? Last night Emily fell victim yet won, along with some others who got montaged previously and now got featured.

Not sure how to make room for Noah Mac in my top-8. He is in my bottom-4 currently. I love this kid, but not sure who I would bump to move him up. Making things worse is he lives near me. The only team member I can eliminate so far, without second guessing myself, is Anthony. There are a few I will ride into the sunset until they are eliminated, IF they are eliminated, like Brooke.

They should include a tag line in the show’s name this season:

Will they all end up splitting up the RB/Soul vote?

Did anyone else think that Jon seemed like a bit of a jerk last night, despite his obvious talent?

Thanks to the montage, I didn’t get to see Emily really perform again, so it makes it harder to decide whether to let her go or move her up to the top 8. Annoying!

I agree toledo, especially now that Addison is on Adam’s team. I do not personally see Emily in the top-8. I’m trying to decide between keeping Shi-Ann or adding Addison. I won’t be keeping both. If I do not add Addison, I only have 1 artist on Adam’s team in my top-8. I also only have 1 artist on Blake’s team in my top-8 at the moment with Keisha.

I agree that since they didn’t show us Emily’s battle, she is iffy for surviving the knock-outs, despite having major vocal chops. I’m trying to remember, did anyone who was “montaged” so far–a new term of art, akin to Ensign Redshirt, LOL–make it through the battles? Oh yeah, Kristine was stolen.

Keisha is one of the ones I feel uncertain about.

The app did it to me again! I had Karli for 21 days, or more, but because of the original order in which I filled the spots she was in the bottom 4. I moved her up to the top 8, and now they have her at 1 day. That really ticks me off.

I’m surprised I have only one from Team Miley, but then I am not fond of screamers. (Also a reason why I have men rather than women from Jennifer’s team.) Megan Rose was rather blah in the blinds. Janice and Kristine were impressive, but neither of them is Janice Joplin, to me.

I tend to like R&B and bluesy singers, and guys who are really good guitarists/musicians, too, like Will Champlin, Laith, and Jesse Larson.

Consolation, America agreed with you re. Ignatious and it was not even close. He certainly should have gone further than he did. It was a shame when Adam didn’t turn for him in the Blinds. Would have been a nice addition to his team. Jennifer possibly thought Eric was a better fit with her existing male R & B guys-- Chris and Davon.

(I finally am tweeting but, since I do not have cable, can not watch the shows live and participate online.)

Like musicmom, my team was still intact after the Battles. Adam C., Ashland, and Davon all were added at their Blind Auditions but, like some of you, got day resets back to 1 when I edited my team a couple of weeks ago. Agree, that should not happen since the edit is before the deadline!

Putting a lot of eggs in Team Miley’s basket at the moment however I still think 1 or 2 more of Miley’s team will be stolen in the Knockouts. I was disappointed with the song choice in the Ashland/Megan battle on the final battle night. This season seems to be partial to first names from the first half of the alphabet.

Let go of Keisha, Shi’Ann, Noah, and Anthony. The only one that seemed easy to part with was Anthony. Others I really like, but not on my team, are Addison and Mitchell.

toledo, The field seems kind of wide open at this stage. I still like Davon more than Jon, possibly Chris Weaver too. Jon is probably akin to last season’s Chris Blue.
