Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

Just watched the Elimination Show. Toledo, JHud WAS really upset Shi’Ann went home. Wow. That should make Davon feel really good when he watches the show back or reads about it on social media.

Consolation, I think Shi’Ann does have a bad ear. Otherwise, how could she be that flat so much of the time? Is it that she cannot hear herself on such a big set? She hurt my new headphones…

Edit: I have 1,916,500 points.

Well, I lost two last night. Only one left on my team is Brooke at 72 days, and I think she has a chance to go very far. My point total is 2,184,600.

I’m gunning for you, musicmerit. Loyalty is overrated. But first I need my Twitter account restored…

I may only have 1 remaining (Addison) after the semis next week. I think the final 4 will be:

Chloe
Addison
Brooke
Keisha or Noah

I have 1,944,500 points.
Still have Brooke (73) and Noah (63) left on my team. I’m a little worried about Noah. He seems to be “stagnating” a little bit. Once again, I say song choice is so important next week.

I agree with your top four, @jshain. Of course, I’m rooting for Noah, but if Keisha chooses the right song (not country), she may sneak in there. She is my mother’s favorite.

I failed to edit my team in time, so I’m not paying any attention to who is actually on my team. (Red and Keisha, Jon having been eliminated.)

My virtual team is Addison, Chloe, and Red.

I like your virtual team, Consolation, even though I am now leaning towards Noah getting into the 3rd spot. Either way is good, since I also have Red on my team.

Lucas, the singing cashier, was just arrested for illegal possession of amphetamines. Sad.

There will be Christmas duets sung along with the solo performances tonight AND voted on. I believe with the duet vote you are automatically voting for the other artist as well. Here are the pairings (and my opinion):

Davon and Brooke (I think this pairing may hurt Brooke because of Davon’s big voice.)
Adam and Red (I think this is an obvious pairing.)
Keisha and Addison (The pairing that makes the least amount of sense to me.)
Chloe and Noah (The pairing that makes the most sense to me, but pairing Chloe with Addison would also have been great. Getting paired with front runner Chloe should help Noah!)

Here are the songs for the duets and, no, NOT Christmas duets! Heard the teasers on iTunes:

Adam and Red- Can’t You See by Marshall Tucker Band
Definitely suited Adam’s voice and singing style better, imo.

Brooke and Davon- Earned It by The Weeknd
Brooke sounded really good. Not the standout duet, imo. A more recognizable Cover would have been better, imo.

Addison and Keisha- Strong Enough by Cheryl Crow
Nice. Better duet than I originally would have thought.

Chloe and Noah- Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
Incredibly artistic. Chills… Watch the show tonight if for no other reason than to hear them together!

Thanks @jshain, can’t wait to see Noah and Chloe!

Here are the solo performances:

Adam- I’m Already There
Addison- Both Sides Now

Chloe- I Want To Know What Love Is
Keisha- What Hurts The Most
Red- Go Rest High on That Mountain

Brooke- Faithfully
Davon- Gravity

Noah- River

I definitely had a favorite or 2, after listening to the iTunes teasers, but one in particular.

I really like the song I’m already there. I hope Adam does it justice.

I waited too Long to edit. I went to say Diego to see Lone Star perform. This is a fav

Is he lip-syncing?

I am not a country western fan, but that was nice.

I really like Davon. Powerhouse.

Love that Marshall Tucker Band song.

@jshain , where are these iTunes teasers you keep mentioning?

Really enjoying so far. every one sounds good so far. And yes Davon has a great powerful voice.

Consolation, Here is the PopVortex link. Scroll down to December 11, click on the song name and artist, then click “open in iTunes Store”, and lastly click on the song in lower half of window box:

Great rendition of “I want to know what love is”. All around good show.

Lou Gramm would be proud!
