Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

Anyone else having problems with their twitter account? Mine was working fine but recently, when I changed devices, it said they needed a phone number for me to log in. The format on my Voice App also completely changed. My profile was also completely different. I was NOW an 18-54 female. When I tried changing my gender to male, twitter SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT! Musicmerit, Musicmom, etc.trying to knock me out of the competition???

@jshain Yes, those gender changes are difficult.

Interesting iTunes Current Results:

So will we have a sing-off with the bottom 3?

https://www.doipod.com/itunes-charts/itunes-top-100-songs-usa/

Toledo, I believe the sing-off is between the bottom 2, after one in the bottom 3 is announced safe.

This was the first time I really liked Brooke, but I won’t vote for her. Miley made a great song choice for Ashland, but despite that she just isn’t that great. i assume Noah’s fanbase will vote him through. Adam C was definitely at his best. Shi’ann and Davon continue to chew the scenery. Keisha is a good singer, but I feel she hasn’t hit her groove.

Addison, Chloe, and Red remain my favorites.

Early on in the season I envisioned Shi’Ann singing Christian music, even though Brooke has 2 parents that were ministers. I hope Brooke stays in that genre. I also hope she does not try to over perform in these next couple of weeks.I do not like her leg kicks and hair flicks. I think it takes away from her performances. I think she has a great shot of making it into the finals. Chloe is still the one to beat, IMO. She was given an okay but not great song to perform and she STILL had great results on iTunes. Singing Covers, in her wildly popular alternative Rock genre, with that voice of hers, and her stage presence, will be tough to beat. I think getting Blake as her coach was huge. Have not seen too many of the entire episodes but I’m betting Blake lets her do her own thing— something Miley would never have done, IMO. I still prefer Addison over Chloe, but I think her fan base is smaller than Chloe’s.

Here are the current iTunes rankings, pretty much how Toledo laid it out. You can refresh the link and it will update throughout the day(s):

Don’t they go down to 8 tonight?

That leg kick made me think of xiggi. ;)) Oh, how he hated those!

I have to disagree, I think the Blondie song was a great choice.

I thought of xiggi, too. He hated the squats, but I haven’t seen too many of those lately.

I can only dream of having that much power @jshain!
Two of my three are at the bottom of that list. I could lose them both tonight. They are sending two home tonight. That could be the end of my lead. . . But I do also have the number one spot so maybe it will balance out.

Miss xiggi. Think of him every season. Predictions on who goes home? Going to work work backwards. The 4 who are NOT (likely) going home, due to the iTunes top-10 ranking and being awarded the 5 times multiplier of votes:

Brooke
Chloe
Addison
Keisha

These are huge “wins”, especially for Brooke and Keisha, who have not fared on iTunes as well as some of the others before this week. It will be interesting to see if Keisha goes back to singing faux Kountry next week or stays in pop mode.

The artists who I personally think (hope) are safe:

Noah
Red
Davon (hope)

My bottom 3 are:

Adam
Ashland
Shi’Ann

Won’t be a bit surprised if Shi’Ann survives another week.

Keisha may have slipped out of the top-10 right before the deadline?

Oh no! Some charts have Keisha at #10 and popvortex has her at #11. That multiplier is usually a huge help.

Toledo, Correction:

It appears there WILL be 3 artists in the bottom all singing for 1 instant save tonight, since they will need to get down to 8 artists by next Monday. In other words, 2 artists going home tonight.

EDIT: Next week are the semifinals. Half going home on Tuesday.

There is 1 less week of Live Shows this season.

so i listened to all the clips and didnt watch them sing. my bottom three from just listening are ashland, shi’ann and noah. I thought Keisha sounded nice. However, i’m not the target market for the voice. I’ve downloaded maybe 4 songs over the years.

Anyone else watching? I certainly didn’t see the last save coming!

I thought it was obvious. Did you notice how disappointed JHud was over the decision?

I am not surprised by the results. Although I have Ashland on my team, I thought she got worse each week instead of better. Never been a ShiAnn fan.

It will be interesting to see what the remaining contestants choose to sing next week. Song choice is everything at this point.

I’ll be sad when the show is over. It’s the best thing about Monday!

I miss xiggi too.
And iDad :frowning:
And DrGoogle
And Samurai Landshark
Any yes, even dstark.
And so many more. I hope they are all well, but always fear to ask.

Just now watched the Monday Top-10 Live Show on Hulu.

I was surprised at the lack of support that JHud gave teammate Noah. She didn’t even give him a standing-O after his performance. For the first time, I felt really bad for him. She obviously favors her other 2 artists more.

To me, Miley tries to do way too many transformations of her artists. Ashland had this simple, raw, stripped down Blind Audition. Week after week, thereafter, Miley tried to gloss her up and give her the “Miley touch”. I have little doubt that if she had initially selected Blake as her coach she would still be around.

I was certain she had the strongest team after the Blinds. Poor decisions on which teammates to pair in the Battles and Knockouts, who to keep or give away (Chloe), and what songs her artists sing, has now led her to this point: only having 1 remaining artist out of 8 remaining. Will she keep the momentum going with Brooke, keeping her a contender which she is, or will Brooke once again return to the “middle of the pack”?

JHud has mishandled Davon’s path to the semis as well, IMO, going with “female songs” in recent weeks. He must have had more options than just the 2 options that were shown in his coaching session.

New coaches should take a lesson from Adam Levine. When Adam C. ended up in the bottom 2, two weeks in a row, he checked his ego at the door and let his artist make the decision on what to sing.

Just watched the elimination, pleased at the result.

Shi’ann picked a song that fully exposed all of the flaws of her voice. I think she does have a lot of potential, but she isn’t able to give her voice the physical support needed to sustain the kind of sound she’s reaching for. After some years of real vocal training, which I sincerely hope she gets, and physical maturation, she will probably be great. Right now, she’ll put out some great passages, and wobble horribly on others. Because she can be so right on, I don’t think it’s a question of having a bad ear.

Ashland, eh. I like her kind of voice, but her problem is lack of oomph and musical character, and it really showed in the Joan Jett song, which she should have been able to knock out of the park, IMHO, and also in her sing-off song.

Davon also hasn’t been showing a powerful musical persona, although his vocal pyrotechnics are amazing. I think he’s kind of a hot mess. I felt that he was pulling every trick out of the box, as if to say “You haven’t seen me really be me yet, but look at all this stuff I can do, you CAN’T send me home! What if I get it together!!” Jennifer needs to cool it with the female diva stuff and let him sing a man’s song.

Speaking of “eh,” Danielle Bradbury is just as limited as ever. Xiggi preferred her to my favorite, the person who did the leg extension thing that he hated  --I wonder what he would say now?

Oh, and to counter the prevailing opinion, I thought Blake and Gwen’s Christmas song was cute. But I am not a fan of “Christmas albums” in general. This is my idea of Christmas music:
