Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

It’s over. Give it to Brooke.

Brooke was very good. And I’m glad they didn’t pin her into that “I am and American Indian” square again. I hate it when they constantly put the contestants in a box. This is the gay one. This is the one who was bullied. This is the one whose mother is dying. Making their identity based upon one incident or one part of their background, and they keep reminding you of it again and again. People are multifaceted, and they don’t always need to be identified by that one single thing that the Voice has decided to identify them as.

Rant over!

And not having watched all season that all would have been new to me.

This guy isn’t doing much with What I Love About Sunday. In fact, he’s kind of butchering it. I usually like this song.

I liked Noah and Chloe. Davon was good although I wouldn’t necessarily want to listen to his music.

I didn’t like Keisha’s version of All By Myself. I loved Eric Carmen singing that and Keisha sounded off in several parts. Not a good arrangement, in my opinion.

I liked Brooke. Noah has the “it” factor for the youNGUNs

Addison was interesting. Sometimes pitchy, but she held my attention.

ETA: I hate what she was wearing.

@“Youdon’tsay”, her styling was terrible. I don’t think that is what Addison had in mind for styling at all.
Brooke was the best tonight.

Again, having not watched all season, I don’t know her usual style, but that was a bad look. The pants weren’t flattering. She looked like she threw on the cleanest thing on the floor and a hat because she didn’t have time to wash her hair.

I don’t know if one can even blame her, perhaps it’s the designers. One time she looked like she was 40. I don’t know if they are choosing their own outfits or not.

They usually save the best for last. Was Addison the best?

No Addison comments? Does she close this week’s show? She sounded great on iTunes. So many layers and nuances to her voice. I love her. Never had a vocal teacher.

Edit: I see an Addison comment from YDS…

I commented on her. Go back a page.

^Thanks, I edited my post.

I can’t decide about Addison. I listen to her, and go back and forth from, “wow”, “meh”, “ick”, “she’s amazing”.

Which is weird. I just can’t make up my mind whether I love her or don’t care for her.

I didn’t think tonight was Addison’s best. And she did not look good. Untying the T-shirt would have been a 100% improvement.

I liked Keisha tonight. She is not country. Liking country music does not make you country. Adding a fiddle or steel guitar to a pop song does not make you country. She needs to stick with pop.

As far as pure vocal talent, I’ve always thought Brooke has the best voice. The young ones are new and interesting, but Brooke can SING.

Ashland and Red need to sing some OLD country. Red had one of his best weeks with that Verne Gosdin song.

Chloe is already #12 on iTunes and the show just started out here on the West Coast. She will likely be #1 again by the 12 noon Pacific deadline.

I liked Chloe, Addison, Brooke, and Devon. Addison I thought looked perfect based on the fact that she wanted to be stripped down and simple.

I have no problem with Addison wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but I would have preferred her shirt not be tied in the front. Or tucked in, or whatever it was. It just wasn’t very flattering on her, in my opinion.

For those of you who thought Brroke was the best tonight, the iTunes downloaders would agree with you! Here are the iTunes rankings as of about 90 minutes ago or around 8 PM Pacific. It’s tight and competitive amongst the ladies with Brooke, Chloe, and Addison all in the top-10 and Keisha not too far out as well. We could have 4 ladies all in the top-10 by the deadline on Tuesday. That might be a first!

Thanks for posting…I see country artists close behind.
