There must be a huge problem with my ears and/or my TV because I think everyone has been horrendous so far tonight. Especially the ones the judges are gushing all over.
musicmom, I got through Team Blake and Alicia’s first artist, Terrence. The sound is EXACTLY the same as it was on Monday. The artists sound like they are singing inside a closet. This is driving me crazy.
I found myself turning the volume way up to hear their voices and then, of course, the band was too loud, so it didn’t really help.
I thought Johnny had a good night.
Something happened in Wilkes’ performance, but I missed it. I think he dropped the mic or maybe he stumbled and fell to his knees. Or maybe he went to his knees to pick up the mic. He made it looked planned, but the judges talked like it wasn’t. I don’t know how I missed it. I was eating dinner and must have been looking at my fork instead of the TV. LOL
It looked like Wilkes knocked over the mic and stand by accident. It was a great ad lib. I’m watching on YouTube so didn’t hear any of the coach comments.
I tried to edit above. I watched again. The mic never came out of the stand. Edit: Watched a 3rd time. The telescoping stand may also have collapsed, causing it to fall over. You could hear it hit the stage! He continued singing with a stubby mic stand!, In a weird way it may have helped him with votes or possibly even the save.
In case you are not hearing the judges’ comments, Blake said tonight that the contestants had picked their own songs.
Did they pick their own songs last night (Monday)? And my FINAL mic stand comment. Watched it again on a larger screen. The mic stand simply COLLAPSED. Never fell over or got knocked over from what I can tell.
Also, the sound seemed okay when Kelsie performed. Was she second to last? Not sure I watch them in the correct on-air order on YouTube. It seems to be a “mixing” problem. Any sound engineers amongst you?
Johnny was last. Not sure if Kelsea was before him. They didn’t say if they picked their own songs last night.
Just watched the show on Hulu. Alicia was begging America to vote for each and every one her artists to be voted through. She over-hyped all for their uniqueness. She even included Wilkes in her gushing. If Jackie F. gets the most votes, she is going to have a tough choice to make. I think Christiana gets the nod over Kelsea. If it is between Terrence and Christiana it is a toss up for the save, imo. I would personally take Christiana. Alicia can help her more. She probably saves Terrence. Listening to Blake’s comments, I do NOT think Pryor would get the save, if he didn’t get voted through, however Spensha probably would get the save. If Wilkes gets the most votes, I think Pryor is going home. I thought even Adam was pleading with Blake to keep Pryor in the competition with his post-performance comments.

musicmom and musicmerit, What are your updated point totals as of Thursday AM? Mine changed to 1,715,000. Also, don’t forget to replace your eliminated artists in the bottom (which I forgot to do last night)). You will get additional points for having a full team before the teams are reduced to 3 at 12 noon PT.

Musicmerit, The points competition should be interesting. You have a max day top-3 and should get rewarded nicely the longer they all stick around. Musicmom has Britton for max days and he could be the eventual winner.
The only person available to me to move up was Jackie F. So I have her and Christiana in the top2, and that’s it.
