Anyone watching tonight and, if so, how are they doing? A handful of them sounded really good on iTunes. The most memorable for me was Brynn. Simply a wow. Okay, as I’m composing this, musicmom confirmed my hunch! Oh, there seems to be some disagreement…
On a completely unrelated note, but forgot to share a few weeks ago: my D is friends with Brett Hunter and his brother. You may recall Brett from the Blinds. He’s the guy who played the ukulele and sang She’s A Bad Mama Jama. He was on Blake’s team and lost to Austin in the Battle Round— in a montage. Anyway, my D was at their house for dinner earlier this month.
I have been pleasantly surprised by Sharane. I never noticed her before last week.
I have Britton, Brynn and Jackie F on my team, but I am not sold on Jackie now. She’s talented, but kinda ordinary. Is it too late to replace people?
What was with the lighting? I wanted to see the faces better.
Team Blake had a great night. All 3 on his team probably had their best performances of the season. I still do not think Kyla has delivered her best yet, as far as song choice goes, and that’s a really scary thing for all the others. Pryor had the perfect song for his voice and he was also able to showcase his exceptional guitar skills. My biggest knock on Spensha, as is usually the case, is that she connects to the song but does not connect her performance to either the studio audience or the viewers. It’s as if she is doing a studio session.
I am completely over Rayshun, a vocal mess tonight. Sharane is the star of Team Adam, followed by Jackie V. I am hoping Rayshun goes home.
Britton had another very solid performance. He has such a comfort and confidence when he performs. I LOVE Christiana. She is probably my favorite team member. Looking forward to seeing her coaching session on Hulu in the morning. She also needs to do a better job of communicating to her audience. Jackie F. was not great tonight, was she?
Loved Brynn but she DID sound better on iTunes— especially her lower notes. Liked Kaleb but he is getting a little boring for me. I did not like D.R. His tone is not good so when he does songs that don”t showcase those big notes of his he sounds very mediocre. He could be in trouble already (along with Rayshun).
I rarely pop in on this thread, though I do try to catch all the shows. I’m finding this season to be disappointing overall. No one strikes me as really special, and there were too many off-key notes tonight given how far along we are in the season. There were also some really bad arrangements tonight. And the coaches’ unwarranted gushing over every performance was so annoying it made me wish for Simon Cowell to come by for a guest appearance and some tough love. But maybe I’m just getting bored with the show.
Sharane still has not cracked the iTunes Top-200. I’m a little surprised. Anyone think Adam gutted the heart and soul of his team when he let both Drew and Reid go home? I hope Rayshun and D.R. are in the bottom 2 tonight and that Rayshun goes home. I don’t think I can take another week of those “signature moves” of his…
I missed the show last night but for the game of it I voted for my three Kyla, Brynn, and Jackie F. I now have 1,799,500 points. Hoping to win our game.
1,808,500 or just 9,000 points separates us. It will depend on whether Kyla lasts longer than Britton but I’m not counting out musicmom either because she has Britton for maximum days.
Christiana is an interesting, creative artist with tremendous potential. I just hope she will better connect with her audience during her performances. Consolation, having an all-Alicia team ain’t so bad. If I had an all-Adam team then I would be worried!
