The Voice season 16 starts 3 weeks from today, on Monday 2/25. Joining coaches Blake, Kelly, and Adam will be John Legend and here is a promo clip:

After yesterday’s halftime performance, Adam may have an even more difficult time building his team than I previously thought.
Also, American Idol premieres Sunday 3/3!
I would imagine that the producers have a say in team selections; otherwise, no one would choose Adam.
Can’t wait for John Legend to be on! Agree that Adam has not been a wise choice for contestants.
I wish Adam was out and they would replace him with Miley Cyrus. The Blake-Adam banter has gotten a little stale. If memory serves me correctly (I didn’t feel like Googling it) he and Blake are both getting paid $12 mil. Not bad for 12 weeks of work and a ton of exposure.
It’s actually (reportedly) $13 mil. And that’s per season, so $26 mil/year.
I wish they’d consider an older classic judge like Bette Midler

I like Adam.
I know they’d edit it out, but I’d love to see contestants not choose Adam. His douchery has really gotten out of hand. And his half time performance was awful.

I don’t like Adam, but given a choice between JHud and Adam, I’d choose Adam. Weird thing is I used to really like JHud, but I found her behavior on The Voice really obnoxious.
I think in the abstract it’s a good idea to mix things up each “season.” After they’ve been on a while, the coaches seem to say the same things over and over. It gets stale.
To me, Adam is just too willing to throw contestants under the bus. Blake, for all he focuses on the young 'uns, particularly female young 'uns, rarely comes across as inappropriate. Adam’s behavior towards Reagan Strange made my flesh crawl.
Agree that JHud got too big for her britches. Her cockiness was a turnoff. Adam just strikes me as not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I do that care who they have as long as they keep Blake. ;

I did not like JHud the first season she was on, but I thought she toned it down a lot the second time around.
What I feel that Adam brings to the musical mix is a real appreciation of people like Laith. Adam is also far more of a real instrumentalist than the others. He values a really good bluesy/rock guitar player/singer.
I don’t mind Adam Levine as a coach. I would love to see Adam Lambert as a coach though…love him!
Too bad they are running The Voice opposite American Idol again. Seemed to DH and me that all the talent ended up on Idol that season, and The Voice went back to being great again the following season when Idol was not on.
I think it’s time to go to once a year for The Voice. I think I heard that’s what’s going to happen with Dancing with the Stars.
uwalum, I read just yesterday that DWTS was skipping a season. After Bobby Bones won they are probably trying to figure out how not to ever allow that to happen again!

We happened to be at the right place at the right time. Watched the taping of the AI kickoff show in HI from a front row table while eating fancy dinner beachside. Some of the competitors were good, but there was a bunch of bad singing, too. We plan on tuning in on March 3rd!
