Ravens-Steelers game got moved to Wednesday so the Voice is back to its regularly scheduled night of Tuesday 12/1 again!
If I understood correctly, the top vote-getters from each team go through, then the coaches choose the second member of their team to go through. Then there will be an instant save for the 9th person.
I missed last night. But I heard the opera singer guy got kicked off for breaking Covid rules.
Not the real opera guy - John Holiday but popera guy Ryan Gallagher. .

Will the four going to the finale be the top 4 vote-getters or the top vote-getter from each team? And at one point, I thought Carson said the “top 5.” Or maybe the 5th one will an instant save?
Musicmom, Top-4 vote getters go through to the Finals. Bottom-5 sing for one Instant Save rounding out the Top-5. Here’s how I think it will go down on Tuesday:
- Carter
- Ian
- Desz or Tamara
- Tamara or Desz
- John or Jim winning the sing-off
If Jim sings a Christian song, then I think (and hope) he’ll get the Save.
I don’t like Ian at all. I much prefer Ben’s voice. My choice for the top 4 would be Carter, Desz, Jim and Ben. Sing-off winner: John or Ian.
Not a real fan of the original songs tonight. I have been a a John fan but his original did not really show him off.
I didn’t like the originals very much, either, and I don’t think they really suited the artists. I never really love a song the first time I hear it, though. And I know I’m old, but I couldn’t understand the lyrics. I certainly didn’t get why Kelly and Desz were so emotional after that first one. LOL
Agree about the originals. I thought it was a disappointing Finale 1 overall. The best original for me was Ian’s. Thought Team Blake had the best night overall, but the bar was rather low.
just catching up to this season; and curious to know if any of you know why each coach as a contestant in the finale. trying to be politically correct? any other benefit to it? I’d be mad if I had more points than others but didnt make it on . . . . trying to figure it out

@bgbg4us The rules seem to change each season. Sometimes it’s the top vote-getters who are in the finale, often leaving one or more judges with no one left, and sometimes it’s the top one from each team.
I am not surprised by the winner, but I’m not sure he is ready for prime time.
I am going to take a break from CC for a while. If you need me, tag me, and I will get an email. Most likely, I will be back next season…if I can navigate this new format. Sure hope they don’t change it again.
