I got a phone call during the show and semi-missed it. Terry sounded amazing tonight. Nicholas not only sounded great, but looked really handsome (as Cee Lo noted). Heard Cassadee, sort of: meh, as usual. I’m going to actually vote this week.

Trevin sang poorly tonight. He will be a great performer in the future. He was my favorite to win in the beginning but now my bet is on Nicholas or Terry.

I thought Cassadee was as good as I’ve seen her all season. I didn’t like Trevin OR Nicholas tonight. After tonight, I think Blake might have the last two standing.

That’s what makes horse racing…

I like Blake a lot but his comments are getting waaaaay over the top. There are TONS of people who could sing those songs just as well as the Hobbit and his partner, the cruise ship singer. It is not that they are bad performers as much as they are utterly uninspiring.

I thought the little guy had to return to Scotland. Poor guy, his ticket home is to New Orleans.

Clearly this was Nicholas’ night! I am now a fan and I hope he wins.

Sorry, I am not impressed w/ either Terry or Cassadee.

DH and I thought Trevin had the weakest performance…off key for most of the song.

Liked both Nicholas and Terry. Cassadee was good (better than Trevin) S2 (age 23) thinks Cassadee will win because she’s the best looking contestant left in the competition:)

I did vote (and usually don’t) and gave most votes to Nicholas with a couple to Terry. I really do hope one of them wins. I just don’t get all the hype with Trevin. Cassadee was just okay .

I just read in USA Today that there will be only one sent home tonight. I missed that announcement last night. I hope it’s either Trevin or Cassadee. If people voted on last night’s performances only, it would have to be Trevin.

I thought all 4 had had better performances than those last night. Seems they ran out of steam in their dash “home.”

I thought Cee Lo basically told Trevin “bye” with his comments.

I previously voted for the number of people that would remain (I voted for 4 when it was to cut from 6 to 4). I now just voted for the one that I would not want to lose at this point: Nicholas.

However, I wouldn’t be surprized if either Trevin or Nicholas got voted off.

Really looking forward to having Juliet Simms perform tonight!

Everyone seems to be in agreement here this morning. I missed the show, but now I’ll know why Trevin gets sent home, should that happen.

07DAD, I also gave most votes to Nicholas and only a couple to Terry because I do think Nicholas could be in danger. In an online USA Today article ,Carson Daly said Nicholas had the least votes last week.

Rats, I couldn’t see what MommaJ posted … I will surf for it later.

Back to the contestants, Nicholas did impress me, and he was quite cleaned up.

Cassadee can definitely sing, but I agree about the un-inspiring piece. She’s been in the mill so long she is manufactured.

Trevin, my boy, love his potential. His big notes are better than anyone, but when he’s slightly off on a note or two, it reminds me that he is just 18! I hope this show built his confidence so he can continue to develop that amazing instrument he has been given.

Terry … I don’t think he looks like a ■■■■■, so maybe I’m biased because his voice is very good. I worry that he is too appealing for my age group and not enough for the younger masses. I hope in the finals he shows us some new tricks up his sleep that show where he can take things.

OK–itunes report. Looks like Cassadee, Terry and Nicholas ALL made it into the Top 10 on itunes and Trevin did not. Actually, Cassadee is #1 at this moment. Terry is #3 and Nicholas is #8.

I’d say that Trevin is gone based on itunes.

Cassadee will be the one to beat in the finals and it will come down to song selection. She’ll go into the finals with a lead because her iTunes chart songs will count in her voting total (every song since top 10 contestants). That gives her a lead over the other finalists. So far, Blake has hit on a good combination, rock renditions of country hits. My wife, who didn’t like the Keith Urban rendition, liked Cassadee’s. She’ll be picking up votes from both pop and country fans.

Terry and Nicholas, while good, have limited marketing opportunities. My wife and a co-worker agreed that Terry’s best chance is if Journey has an opening for a lead singer. Nicholas’s best bet would be to sing the oldies in Las Vegas. They haven’t sang any songs outside their genre. They both have a following, but it’s likely limited to older adults.

Not a ■■■■■ … he looks like a hobbit. Different races. :)

Haha - No Left Coast spoilers yet. Bunch of slackers! :)

Loved Chris Mann and his new song. America got it right tonight with Trevin going home.

You can see what is going on: Terry and Cassadee duet set in key that is right in her wheelhouse, much too low for Terry to show his stuff. She gets all of the good camera angles.

The saved trio was as it should be at this point, although Cassadee should not be there and either Cody or Amanda should be.

The Trevin/Nicholas duet was really nice, I think. Chris Mann is doing well. RaeLynn not so much, IMHO. Juliet needs to get her bangs trimmed.

I am very happy that Nicholas made it to the finals. I’m sure it was my votes that did it!
Thought he was great in the duet , put a different, soulful spin on what is usually a song more for a Mariah Carey/Trevin type.

OMG, am I happy I watched little to nothing of last year’s show. Those folks make the four semis of this year look and sound like multi-platinum artists.

If there was a reminder needed that the Voice is really, really weak sauce (even in a poor US market) it was delivered tonight. And, we will probably say the same thing next year, as Cassadee and Terry are just a step above plain average.

This show is truly limping to its premature death.
