Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

Missed last night’s show and understand Trevin is gone. Am sadder about the passing of Ravi Shankar, as its one more chip taken from my youth… :frowning: I did not know he was Nora Jones’s dad

Similar manipulation w/ the Trevin/Nicholas duet – choice, tempo and key designed to showcase the richness of Nicholas’ voice but not Trevin’s.

True w/ the exception of Chris Mann – I think he is on equal footing and possibly more talented than a couple of this season’s final four.

I haven’t forgiven Chris Mann for butchering Ave Maria last season. I’m no fan of pop opera - just diminishes both genres.

Well…??? This is a tough one.

For me, best duet of the night: Nicholas and Cee Lo, but the show-stopper in this duet was neither of them!

For me, best individual performance: Cassadee’s closing song. She reminds me a little bit of a countrified version of Alanis Morissette.

I’m voting for Cassadee and I think she will have a very successful career out on her own.

I really enjoyed the show tonight. I’ll be happy for whoever wins. I don’t have a favorite, at this point.

I feel the same as you, moonchild. I will be happy with any one of the three. I appreciate each one and enjoy each one for their own style of singing.

itunes report. Cassadee currently at #1 and #5. Terry at #6 and #12. Nicholas well below both. Itunes would make Cassadee the best bet.

Tonight we have duets with Cassadee and Avril, Terry and Peter Framton and Nicholas and Smokey.

Is anyone else of the opinion that they all seem tired including the coaches?

Yes, I think they look tired. Maybe that’s why performances have been good, but not great. Nothing “wow’d” me last night.

I loved the tribute.

The tribute was very emotional. I, too, loved it.

I really like Peter Frampton & Terry! :)

How about Cee Lo’s Mini Me?

^Cee Lo’s last and final attempt to get the win! I did love it!! Helped to explain why he was under-dressed compared to all the other judges.

Ladies… how come you aren’t “gushing” over Adam Levine’s wigged-out, shirtless performance???

Admitting ignorance-- who is the guy in the shades with the 'fro singing?? Bruno who??

jym, you must not have any teenagers in the house if you don’t know Bruno Mars. CBS Sunday Morning did a piece on him last week, and he is a very interesting person, has written hits for other singers as well as many of his own.

C’mon jym626, You must know Bruno’s song “I wanna be a billionaire…” :-).

I didn’t watch the whole show, but I enjoyed the judges doing the Green Day song. And Christina wore CLOTHES while she sang!

Nope. I am an empty-nester and don’t know Bruno…

Well, season 3 is all over. Thoughts?

The trio with Kelly, Pope, and the Hobbit spoke volumes. One star worth listening to. The other two will be forgotten by Valentine Day, if not earlier.

jym,the results were as I expected. Cassadee had a pretty big following and Terry and Nicholas may have split some votes. I liked all three of them though. They’re all different and hope they all have good careers ahead of them.

xiggi, I hope you’re wrong but you never know. The music business is tough.
