Is "The Voice" Your New Vice?

I didn’t know it was on til 11 tonight. I’ll have to read your updates tomorrow to learn who won.

Yeah…they are really stretching this…I know it’s all about ratings, but…It could easily have been a really good one hour show.

Celine Dionne singing with Nio (sp)?

I think Kelly Clarkson blows all this year’s contestants away. Didnt like her Christmas special though.

They brought back the Sound of Music. They should run one of Bing Crosby’s Christmas shows.

The winner is going to sing an an original song. Will sing another in the Rose Bowl parade.

Alan Black? (can you tell how much I know about music  ) and Will are singing together, Wake Me Up. It’s pretty good…certainly better than the Kelly Clarkson one.

Tessanne bringing back James, Olivia, Grey, Preston singing “Hold On, I’m Coming.”

Anyone else still watching?

I don’t know if you all caught this, but Will’s dad was a member of the band Chicago. He has a lot of connections. It also explains some of his natural musicality, even if his pitch isn’t always right on. He grew up in the business.
The show hasn’t started yet on the west coast. I’m looking forward to it. Not sure I’ll be up to hear the final results, though!

Lady Gaga is singing.Christina just joined in.

Alan Black above should be Aloe Blacc.

All my Jamaican friends are excited that Tess talked about how terrible the roads are in Jamaica…I think they think the gov’t will be shamed into fixing them…doubt it.

I thought Tessanne’s group did a great job. She picked well for the song. James was in all three bring-backs, wasn’t he?

I think song choice is key. It’s that way for most singers. Few singers sound good singing any old song. I think sometimes on these shows, they try too hard to show that they can sing various genres, when really, they sound much better singing what suits their voices.

Will’s dad was mentioned at the start of the season.

Now, they are going to announce the winner–finally. Each contestant is now talking about his/her coach.

3rd place is…Will.

The winner is Tessanne. (So Jacquie is 2d).

Not exactly a surprise.

Tessanne is now singing.

So, another season comes to the end. It will be interesting to see how much this will help Tessanne’s career.

Tessanne wins. At least it wasn’t Jacqui. I’m going to bed, having already slept through some of this.

Ok. Thanks jonri. You did a superb job recapping all year.

Comgrats to Tessanne… And xiggi.
:)

Well deserved!

You’re gracious in defeat, dstark. You came close!

This was covered during his blind and battle round with the back story that Will’s dad Bill was a member of the band Chicago, as you mentioned. Also, I misspoke yesterday when I said that only 1 chair turned around for him in the blinds. He got 3 chairs to turn whereas Cole Vosbury only got a 1-chair turn.

Congratulations to all those who predicted a win for Tessanne. Good job!

I wish I could buy that version of Wagon Wheel. That was gorgeous. Just like that beautiful group song featuring Melanie, Cody, Terry, and Nicholas.

I missed the show tonight so am catching up here. I’m not familiar with Wagon Wheel so my brain turned it into Wagon Train and I couldn’t figure out why you all were discussing an old tv western.

Those guys should form a band

[Will, Austin, Caroline, Cole and Jonny: “Wagon Wheel” | Video | The Voice | NBC](http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/video/will-austin-caroline-cole-and-jonny-wagon-wheel/n44426/)

That rendition was fantastic. The Voice that could and should have been. Everything else paled in comparison. Even that Celine Deion Sanders duet! :)

My thoughts exactly. And some of them can actually play those instruments well…

I have to say that a Tessanne win was easy to predict. Wanting her to win is another matter. Despite the fact that I prefer Will as a musician, she is a worthy winner and to all appearances a lovely person. Congratulations to her.

Lowest finale ratings in the history of the show. So much filler! Also, 40+ hours of broadcast for this season.

So–what was the style report for the finale? Jacquie Lee in Spanx or were they bike shorts for modesty?

Did Celine’s dress top come unzipped unbeknownst to her?

I forgot about the show until almost 11pm. I didn’t intend to watch all 2 hours anyway. Hearing all your comments, I can pick and choose what, if anything, from last night’s show I want to watch. I did see that Tessanne won.
