I think Christina was the worst judge of everyone. Everything was always about her.

I thought when they brought in Shakira and User that they planned (at that point) to rotate everyone in and out so they would have the chance to tour/record/etc., but Adam and Blake have never left and show no signs of a hiatus. I think it might give the show a little boost if one or both of them left for just one season. I wouldn’t mind seeing them bring in Miranda to take Blake’s seat for a season and it shouldn’t threaten him to let his wife give it a whirl. Reba McIntyre would be great as well as a country coach.

And with Christina in the chair, we are sure to be stuck listening to a lot of screamers and belters.

I like Blake and Adam, but it’s getting a little old at this point - think a bit of a change would be a good thing. Supposedly Gwen will be back after Christina does season 8 - I can’t cite to a source on that because I think it was some “trending news” on my FB from Hollywood Insider or something like that. I really, really like Gwen and Pharrell.

It would be nice to have 2 females or 2 non-white people on the panel … It reminds us constantly that the music industry is like the tech world … Not enough diversity at the top. Maybe if Blake or Adam take a year off it will leave room for Pharrel or Gwen to stay? I also liked Usher and Shakira. Christina is my least favorite because her vanity always came through in the oddest times, but she is different than Blake and Adam and that’s what is needed.

Not only do we have the black male chair, we have the bottle blonde chair.
Imagine a brunette, or a --gasp!–woman of color? Shakira certainly lent some diversity to the panel, but naturally she HAD to be a blonde.

Yes, a brunette would be a shocker, too.

Anyone else getting tired of the contrived bickering between some of the judges?

We could use a shakeup with Adam and Blake as judges. Why on earth is Adam even doing this show every season?

I think if Adam and Blake leave the show is in trouble. I can do with less bickering though

I agree with dstark except I like the banter between them. Comic relief!

The thing that makes the show is the judges. Its critical to have the right ones. There is an endless supply of great competitors, but not an endless supply of entertaining and appealing coaches/judges.

I assume that Adam and Blake do the show because the compensation and the exposure fit with their view of what’s worthwhile. The entertainment business is brutally difficult.

I like Adam and Blake. I think they’re funny. Then again, this is the first season I’ve watched. I especially like Blake because he just stole Jessie. Yay!!

Glad Jessie got the steal but I was rooting for Ryan.

Unfortunately Jessie’s boyfriend didn’t make it through, and didn’t get stolen either.

Jessie is a sweetheart with a heart of gold and super-talented! I didn’t think the duos delivered overall, however. Matt is the only artist who really stood out in my mind (Team Adam). I also question whether the guest coaches were as effective this week.

It was tough seeing Jessie and Ryan go against each other. They are both so likeable and seemed genuinely supportive of each other.

I thought the 15 year old girl was very, very good. She had an “ease” about her which was reminiscent of Danielle Bradberry. I’m picking her as a favorite, along with the one country guy who was so good. The TSA guy is excellent too.

I also am concluding that age is working against some of the contestants. Its not always true, but if you’re under 25 or so, I think you are much more appealing to the voting audience, and thus also to the coaches. They can’t see that in the first choices, but after the blind round, everything changes.

I don’t think wardrobe did Danica any favors last night. They have already labeled her the stay-at-home mom which sounds “old” to the younger voters and then they put her in a hairstyle that made her look a lot older than she is. I think she is talented, though. I liked Matt and Ryan a lot, but I always seem to like the boys best. ;)

I really like Gwen and Pharrell, too. I haven’t seen all of Gwen’s new music video, but in the clip they showed last night, she was actually wearing clothes! gasp
