I think Blake was planning to steal Craig if Gwen picked Anita, and he probably believed that she would perhaps from just watching her work with the singers. The judges know who the pairings are made up of early on and they probably think ahead regarding stealing if someone they like might be available. Earlier in the show, Blake said he didn’t steal one of the other players because he “had his eye on someone.” I think he was planning to take Craig, as busdriver said, but I don’t think that means there is scripting or influence from outside. I do think there’s a fair amount of strategy and horse trading among the players.

I’m not particularly impressed with Craig’s voice. I preferred Anita’s song and voice.

I happen to love the Marshall Tucker Band, so it was nice to hear that song again. I like Craig and Anita about equally. Both of them have to break through to a new level to succeed, though.

Craig reminds me of the character Sawyer in Lost. That alone should get him some votes .

I guess it is a matter of taste, it seemed obvious to me. I don’t think reggae is going to be a big seller, and I see no shot at her winning. She sounds pleasant but forgettable to me. I suspect the judges have a very good idea of whom they are going to keep before they even do the final competition.

I thought Craig looked better before his haircut. Kathie Lee Gifford said she liked his “scruffier” look better too.

In the blind audition, one of the guys was a triplet with 2 sisters, I think. Is he still in it? I thought it was Chris (the college mailman) but they haven’t mentioned triplets since the first time he sang, if it is Chris.

Chris Jamison, the campus mailman, is a triplet with two triplet sisters.

I just saw the recap show.

I like almost everybody. :)

Top to bottom, it’s a pretty formidable group. Elyjuh is probably my least favorite… too “theatrical”. Maybe he’ll be on the stage in Cats someday?

Lol!

I think Chris Jamison was really good tonight.

I’m watching the show on a crummy hotel tv, yucky sound system. So far only Jessie and James David Carter have sounded good to me so far. Really didn’t like the sound of the first lady, not crazy about Chris tonight.

I don’t really care for this beach boys song. Matt did himself no favors with the look or the song.

I don’t mind the look, but I sure agree about the song. Don’t like that song, especially not for him. Didn’t like his last song either. I don’t know why he isn’t sticking with the same sort of two songs that were his first two. Come on, if it ain’t broke, don’t fit it!

Proving it takes all kinds, I loved Matt’s rendition of God Only Knows. It reminded me of Love Actually and the wedding scene which is fun in a quirky way. However, I wrote down the number to vote for James David. Didn’t vote at all last season, but I have a strong opinion this go round.

I didn’t really care for Reagan James either. Listening to the judges I’m clearly in minority.

Okay, I didn’t think Taylor sounded very good either. Maybe it’s just this crappy tv, but only Jessie and James (oops, I’d better make that James David) have sounded good to me. The rest have sounded kind of weak and rather off key, as before I had thought they all sounded great. Why do people keep singing meh songs that have a personal meaning to them? We, the audience, don’t care. I’ve never heard Taylor’s song, and never care to. Sing something that sounds good, jeez!

Or maybe it’s just the tv.

Not impressed with anyone tonight. No votes from me.

Wow! Should I not even bother watching?
