Definitely watch. Cartera is hard to impress. You’ll probably find several you’ll like, but some who disappointed.

I thought the last three were great also. That is, Mia, Damien and country dude.

Ok. Thanks.

Wouldn’t say it wasn’t worth watching. I thought everyone has done better before. Maybe it was nerves from being live. I just didn’t feel inclined to vote for anyone. No one rose above the crowd for me.

Blake’s team: I thought Reagan was pretty bad and I have liked her before. Taylor (the girl) will for sure be going home. That song was just so not melodic and going first is never a good thing. Jessie was good. Both of the country guys were good. If I were picking Blake’s top three, I would choose the country guys and Jessie.

Adam’s team: I didn’t even remember Mia, but I thought she had a strong performance. I actually liked all of his guys and thought they were fairly evenly matched. I have liked Matt more in the past than tonight. Chris is a little more “manly” than some of the others which might sway the young girl voters. Taylor (the guy) was good. Damien was good but he didn’t blow me away. I would pick Mia and Taylor and probably Matt.

Watching…

Jessie kicked butt!

Agreed… I liked most but didn’t absolutely love anyone. My faves were Craig, Jessie (who was styled to perfection) and Reagan. The band overshadowed many of the performances and others had poor song choices. I couldn’t help but wonder if there were audio issues on the set because even Adam Levine and Maroon 5 didn’t sound that great to open the show.

I agree about Adam. I thought I was having problems hearing because my wife was talking to my daughter on the phone. My daughter was on speaker and I could barely hear Adam. :)

I missed the first couple performances, but of the ones I heard my least favorite and obvious elimination candidate was Mia. Loved the Beach Boys song, meh to the Garth Brooks song, although James David himself is obviously very good.

I’m going to have to watch it again. :)

Well…lots of disagreements. I thought Jessie, Mia, James David and Damien were good. I love the song Matt sang, but thought he didn’t do a great job with it. I can’t understand why Craig is still in it.

As of 8:29 am, Matt was in the lead for itunes downloads (31), Damien second (40) and Reagan third (53). Craig at 59. Jessie at 60. Taylor Phelon (male) at 76. James David at 93.

Not what I would have predicted!

My favorite in the show has been Matt (could not get his Thousand Years out of my head) but agree that his performance live was disappointing. The suit is the wrong look for him and wrong for a Beach Boys song. Still, he’s the only one I bothered to phone in a vote for because I want to see what he’ll do next. I think Taylor on Adam’s team may have come to the end of his run…he doesn’t stand out enough against Matt and Chris. And I like the emotion Damien shows when he sings…I would choose him over Mia to continue. Matt, Chris and Damien are my picks from Adams team.

I kind of fast-forwarded through a lot of Blake’s team since I’m not a big country fan. I wouldn’t miss most of them if they didn’t move on, except James David. Did not like the Garth Brooks song, but I still like JD as a performer.

Haha, I am not sure Adam Levine ever sounds good without massive amount of “editing.” Not sure if we agree on the poor choices of songs, but IMHO that has been the trademark of Adam in past editions. He has thrown more good candidates under the proverbial bus with horrible choices that reflect his love of “taking risks.”

But again, I do not like Adam at all. Not as a performer nor as a judge/mentor.

PS On the wish list, I would like the judges to stop being soooooo nice and stop doling out compliments as candy on Halloween night. Nope, few of those artists are that good and the industry does not need many of the current crop. They range from average to pretty good, but the constant praise is getting old. I also would prefer to have the bottom eight sent home instead of having 2 out each team.

I’ve never heard Adam Levine sound great but I can’t even listen to that stalker promoting song.

As of 10:30 am, Matt was the highest ranked in itunes at 31. Damien at 45. Regan at 54. Jessie had gone up a bit to 59, and Craig had dropped a bit to 61. Taylor Phelan at 76, James David at 97.

In the past itunes has been good at predicting results.

It will be interesting to see who the coaches “save” on their teams. Voters, including downloads, choose the top 2 vote-getters. On Wednesday, the coaches select (save) 1 more from their team and 2 go home.

Hoping the show tonight has some memorable performances from Team Gwen and Team Pharrell.

Edit: I agree with Xiggi about the unanimous sugar coating of coaching remarks. It’s almost like they have a pact with each other. They obviously don’t want to sway the voters.

Matt’s voice is amazing on my TV. This is the first time I really got to hear his pure voice and that song helped display it. It gives me hope of what he has yet to show us.

I hoped Regan would have done better (she is the 15year old, right?) but I think the live stage showed us what happens to a young person experiencing nerves. With the good downloads maybe that will give her another week to get over the lives.

I also like country dude … He definitely pulls it off and I enjoyed him, even though country is not my top genre.

I am looking forward to hearing if the reggae girl will do something non-reggae. Her voice with Matt would be fantastic.

Interesting how people disagree on that Beach Boys song. I thought that was such a light, bouncy song, the only time I want to hear that is when I’m sitting on the beach with a margarita in my hand. It’s not something I’d want to hear on the radio. Just thought it was the worst choice. Anything Beach Boys. For anyone, I don’t think it displays their voice.

I’ve always loved that song. I find it very poignant, not light and bouncy.

I think it’s a great song, not fluff at all. I don’t know if you heard Matt say in the piece that Paul McCartney has said that “God Only Knows” is the best song ever written. High praise indeed!

I guess I just can’t stand anything Beach Boys, and was hoping he’d do something different. I still voted for him, but want him to stick to the songs that got him there.

Fair enough. I think he’s great. I’d like to see him go all the way.
