<p>Some of that opening number was pretty painful.</p>
<p>I wish they wouldn’t do group numbers, they’re almost always awkward and off key. I thought Matt did a wonderful job, even if he does remind me of Where’s Waldo. </p>
<p>I missed the opening number, sounds like it was rather bad, so no loss. Liked Matt’s performance, but not near as much as I’d expected to. Cold Play should be dead on for him, and it wasn’t quite, to me. Anita’s outfit and hair look just awful to me. She’s such a pretty girl, hard to believe they made her unattractive at all. Who are these designers? Ugh.</p>
<p>I’ve liked Matt and Anita in the past, but not tonight. Matt sounded very raspy. Definitely, no Chris Martin.</p>
<p>Not crazy about song choices tonight. Although Matt sings better than Chris Martin, it’s just such a boring song. Damien’s song boring too - cruise ship performance. At least he didn’t cry - yet. They are not making any effort to bring out anything unique in these singers. And what is up with forcing singers to negotiate steps while singing? </p>
<p>You know, I thought he sounded way better than Chris Martin when he sang Yellow. Definitely not on this song. Thought Damien was spectacular, as usual. I always wait for someone to make my crappy hotel tv sound good, and he sure did it.</p>
<p>I really dislike the shaking the audiences hands during the songs. It closes off the home audience. Why is it they seemed so much better before the lives started? </p>
<p>So far I’m not very impressed tonight. </p>

<p>You know, I’d just like a really interesting song choice. Something that would be like…wow…I forgot that song, or what an interesting twist, not reminders of my time as a cocktail waitress working at a 50’s/60’s bar. </p>
