It’s because they are the same school. At least according to the Dean, the school, employers and the rankings.
The facts are what they are. Sorry.

What are the academic standards you must hit to be accepted into IUPUI Kelley? I currently have a C+ in Econ201 and its not looking good and it makes me worry about if i would be accepted into Kelley at IUPUI (I currently attend IUB but am transferring due to family issues).
Hope this helps. Do your best to get the grade to a B. Otherwise get some guidance from the Admissions folks at Kelley Indianapolis.

@Goodkidsdad What banks have front office OCR at IUPUI?
Not sure if this answers your question or not. But here is career services.
I went to undergrad at Purdue, have worked at Purdue and am attending IUPUI for grad school. I have lived in the area my whole life. I don’t know that anyone thinks of IUPUI as “community college.” Most people go to IUPUI for the very simple reason that it is in Indianapolis. I could get into the same program at Bloomington, but I don’t live there. To apply for my grad program, I had to be accepted into I.U. first and apply separately to IUPUI’s program. There’s no difference in admission standards. IUPUI actually IS IU… unfortunately, otherwise I’d get a discount for being a Purdue employee. Boo.
I have a job in Indy, I want to live in Indy and I will earn exactly the same IU degree through IUPUI. I really dont think the “prestige” has anything to do with it, unless you’re just a snob. Same degree, same difference. Purdue and I.U. partnered to make in state education more accessible to other parts of the state, which is great for Indy, which lacks a major public university otherwise.
These comments are too old and most are not accurate. IUPUI Kelley is on the same caliber as IUB. The only difference is the demand for IUB is much higher, making admission tougher. I attend Kelley Indianapolis and admission requirements keep getting tougher as years pass. The comments with admission requirements are outdated. ICORE keeps getting tougher too at IUPUI to match up to IUB. It is the same school just at different locations. They would not put the Kelley name on it at IUPUI if it is not at the caliber of IUB. One could argue more opportunities are available after graduation at IUPUI because of being in the heart of Indianapolis.
