I know next to nothing about geometry, but I am very good at algebra. Is there more algebra or geometry in the test? And is the geometry questions difficult? Thanks, I’m quite nervous.
Make sure to know the pythagorean theroem and the basic properties of common shapes (sides, angles, etc) For the most part, there won’t be any advanced geometry. Spend your time studying for verbal.
Yes there is a fair amount of geometry based on what my daughter had told me. There is a free sample test online. Search Ivy Global free SSAT. Also test prep books can be found at your local library.
Also, as the content of the test is unique at each sitting, some versions may include a bit more geometry than others. It’s my understanding that last November the test had quite a few geometry questions. My daughter said she wouldn’t have done so well on it if she wasn’t taking geometry.
I took it January 2016 and it was mostly algebra and random trivia questions.
Nov test had a lot of geometry questions and daughter did poorly on them.
