Is there a minimum GPA requirement?

I couldn’t find any conditions with my acceptance. I was wondering if NYU had a GPA requirement for high school seniors?

I can’t think of any school that outright will make a minimum GPA requirement, because no school would want to market themselves as an academic institution that is elitist or actively limiting opportunities to less competitive applicants.

Saying “you have the best and brightest” is very different from saying “we don’t accept low performing students.” That said, NYU says the typical GPA of an incoming freshman is 3.5+.

I saw that but I know the UC system requires a minimum 2.0 GPA for second semester

Ahh if you’re specifically referring to 2nd semester “requirements,” that is generally set to discourage accepted students from not performing the rest of the school year. I know there was the same requirement during my transfer application during freshman year.
