<p>actually they don’t have a male varsity team. But they do have a good club team, and a female varsity team.</p>

<p>You have on campus intramural teams that play each other and you can get info through admissions. You have a club team that plays other college club teams, but is not funded by UIUC except to the extent clubs get funded (put it this way–they really like donations), and you actually have to be very good to make it as it is close in skill level to a Division III college team-- info on that is available on-line; go to UIUC site and just search for soccer. Women have a varsity (NCAA Division I) soccer team, men do not.</p>

Ironically, a lot of the teams in the big sports power conferences such as the SEC, ACC, and the Big Ten (11) have among the FEWEST varsity sports teams. A lot of smaller LACs and D3 schools have a ton more varisty sports. Strange but true.</p>
